Description of 1969 Chevrolet Corvette |
1969 Corvette convertible, recent engine fire centered at distributor. Hood wasted, broken driver window, cracked windshield, wire harness toasted...I'll post more post-fire photos ASAP, wanted to get this up for the weekend, happy to answer any questions best I can. Originally with no convertible top, only removable black hardtop. It was Cortez Silver, 390 horse, 4-speed 370 Positrac. It was converted to an L88 clone. Block, Tranny, Rear End all original to vehicle. All L88 upper parts, aluminum heads aluminum intake and 750 Holly four barrel carburetor. The engine has been bored out thirty-thousandths and is now approximately 436 in.³. It has Hooker side pipes (they were an L88 factory option in 1969). The engine has forged pistons and the wildest hydraulic and that I could find at the time very similar to the L 88 solid lifter cam. The engine was balanced. It had a L88 air intake hood. The car was painted red and a white convertible top was put on. The paint is Amron two-part Epoxy paint. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THE ORIGINAL 216 L88 FACTORY VEHICLES...it was meticulously andpainstakinglybuilt, all GM factory parts to the same specifications as an original..was very fun to drive, turned heads everywhere. I have owned this vehicle since 1995 and have always kept it maintained and running. Right now it is a good project car for the right person. Feel free to send me questions...while I am not a mechanic...I will do my best to get and have an answer. I do love having this, I'm sick this has happened. I need this sold and gone, money in hand. I have a reasonable reserve set. You will have to have it transported, your expense...I can assist however possible to help facilitate vehicle removal. Please ignore the 3-Day handling time...we all know per the description above that you are responsible for all costs for pick-up and delivery. Serious inquiries only, vehicle sold as is, where is.
