Description of 1986 Chevrolet Camaro |
Bought my dream car only to be surprised with new twin babies and a move! Must sell, serious buyers only please. Below is the write up from the dealer that I purchased the car from in 2017. Before I took delivery, I had them install anair-conditioning system from Classic Auto Air. Obviously, the car came from the factory with A/C, but it was removed when the engine swap was performed. This new system is utilizing 134Arefrigerant, instead of the old, difficult to find, ozone killing R12 that itoriginally came with. The car also has an MSD ignition system and a new Promaster 9100 starter and battery. Please ask all the questions you like. In-personinspection is welcome. Test drives maybe possible, weather permitting. Vehicle is located in Walled Lake, MI. Payment will be accepted in either wire transfer or cash. Title is clear and in-hand. This rust-free Kentucky car looks fantastic with its beautiful Arctic White paint and black accents. Note the window tinting and rear lens covers too. The 18" chrome aluminum IROC wheels are a great touch and the perfect size for this car. All the door, window, hood, and hatch seals have been replaced with new GM seals. The hood louvers were also replaced with new GM parts. The factory 305ci engine (the largest available in 1986) has been replaced with a BluePrint Engines 383ci crate motor making 430hp (dyno sheet included). Features include Brodix aluminum heads, steel crankshaft and a Holley 750cfm double pumper carburetor. And isn't that a clean engine compartment? There are also ceramic coated shorty headers feeding a big Mufflex 4" exhaust with SpinTech muffler. The transmission is a TH350 automatic with a Hughes torque converter (2,500 rpm stall speed) and B&M Megashifter. The rear end is a 10-bolt Positraction setup with 3.73 gears. The rear suspension was upgraded with Spohn Performance lower control arms and a Jegs torque arm. Also underneath are Spohn Performance subframe connectors to reduce chassis flex. Finally this car is equipped with power steering and power front disc brakes for easy driving. The maroon and black interior is in wonderful condition; you would never guess this car is 30 years old. The SPI label is intact in the center console, helping verify this car as a B4Z-code IROC Z28. Note the power driver seat, power door locks, power windows, tilt column, and dual remote mirrors. There is also new carpeting and a new headliner along with 5-point front harnesses. The factory radio has been upgraded to a Sony AM/FM/CD stereo with dual amplifiers and 12-inch Punch subwoofers. There are plenty of late-80's Camaros out there but not many like this IROC-Z. It is in exceptional condition and has thousands of dollars in upgrades. |
