1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Station Wagon, 88,176 MI. Straight 6, 4 Door, PG

This is a very solid 53 y/o 4 door station wagon with only 88,1XX miles on its original 230 straight 6 motor and Powerglide transmission matching numbers drivetrain. The mileage might change as I still drive it. The body on this Chevelle is straight at each body line and seam along the hood, doors and tail gate as they have always been. The frame has no rot and the floors are nearly perfect except at the bottom of the wheel well for the spare tire as shown in the photos which is very repairable. Under the hood is all there and no rot. The paint all around is old and has the patina of a classic without the shine which adds to its originality. The chrome on the bumpers polish up like mirrors and only a slight scuff and nick in the rear bumperare noticeable. All the grilles, trim and moldings are fine and the roof rack looks good for its old age. The spinner wire spoke wheel covers were special order when it was first purchased and radial tires are ready to take you almost anywhere; this will not float. The 2019 spring tune up included oil and filter, points-coil-condenser-rotor-cap-wires with the dwell and timing set. The carburetor has a manual choke that works fine and the car starts within seconds of turning the key plus a 5 year warrantee battery was recently installed.

This wagon looks and drives well just the way it is and the next owner has a good car to do whatever they please without having to do any major repairs first. The horns and AM radio are there and still work.

The lower fenders and bottom exterior corners of some doors have had body work dating back to 1985 and are noticeable but as a driver it looks OK. The door and tailgate seams and jams are clean all around. The front and rear vinyl seat covers have been changed to cloth. The interior shows a bit of use at the driver's door bottom panel, the carpets, rear deck covering and a few tears in the roof liner toward the rear panel. The exterior RV mirrors need help. I do haveV8'sthat I purchased for this wagon and will list them if you show interest including a 283, 327 and GENII LT1 that has a matching 4L60.

There is no title to this wagon but the last state registration will be turned over upon final payment which must clear before transfer of ownership. This state does not title vehicles after 10 years of manufacturer and most states in the USA have accepted the last registration as proof of ownership and there are no liens on this vehicle.
