A nice driver (#3) example of an Atlanta built Chevelle SS 454 that was produced the last week of November 1969. An older restoration, this A-Body features a Towanda built 454ci powerplant sourced from 1975 with a Muncie M21 4-spd HD gearbox date stamped 8/20/1974 and sent to the wheels through a 12 bolt rear axle. According to stamping, the rear axle ratio shows to be 3:31 with Posi-Traction. The Cowl Induction Hood is functional, and rounding out the ZL2 package are the hood pins and hood and deck stripes. Overall, the exterior is an older refinish that shows very well and retains its correct Tuxedo Black Color. The interior is very well sorted and correct. The front bench seat and rear seats wear their correct Black Vinyl, and all panels and dash present well with no shrinking, cracking or sun damage. The stock radio has been replaced with a GM classic reproduction radio with modern functions, but the original radio is present. A mostly accurate car, this SS wears a few LS-6 cosmetic keys, but is not being represented as an actual LS-6 vehicle. Engine build specs are not available, but the most apparent observations are a more aggressive than stock cam, and a polished Holly 4 barrel carburetor. Sway bar links and suspension bushings look to have been updated to modern materials and show no signs of excessive wear. The car has been a Southern United States and California vehicle, therefore the undercarriage and body show no sign of cancer or weather related corrosion. Our site posts content to many other sites all over the world.
