Same owner 28 years. He claims to have spent over $90,000 on restoration over time. $20,000 was spent recently. Some of the features include a healthy big block, cold a/c, power steering and power disc brakes. It has everything you want and more. EXTERIOR: North Carolina rust free truck. Has it's original metal except new rockers. Show quality, super slick Torch red paint. Really, I just went out and looked again and this paint is impressive. The body is arrow... straight, the panels line up really square and flush. The bed is so pristine the joke is "he used the truck to haul cotton balls!" Actually the 1st owner put a camper in the bed, it didn't even have a rear view mirror. That is why the bed is pristine. In addition to a bright red paint, it's dressed up with a metal cowl hood and chrome bed rails. It also has chrome bumpers, front bumper guards, deluxe trim and grill. Every single piece of trim and chrome looks new. Right down to polished wiper arms, chrome around the vent windows, the grill, bumpers, handles, mirrors, moldings etc. Bumpers are originals that were rechromed, it took him over 20 years to find the front bumper guards. The lower side moldings are NOS. Front and rear windows are new as well as the gaskets and trim. The door jambs are slick, new weatherstrips and sill plates. Great looking chromed aluminum Torque Thrust wheels. Has some meaty street/drag radials in back. INTERIOR: Entire inside of cab was painted the same glossy red as the exterior. The seat is reupholstered in a comfortable 2 tone fabric and has a cushioned center console with cup holders. They used a Lokar floor shifter, looks like a stick shift. The dash area is very detailed. The chrome is new, a/c vents neatly installed, factory controls cleverly operate the heat and a/c. Even inside the glovebox is meticulous. Carpet is new with matching floor mats with sewn edges. Visors, mirror, dash pad, handles, cranks, armrests are new. In the dash is a factory oil pressure gauge and a working clock. On the tilt column is a big Monster Tachometer. Nice new stereo system, has amp under the seat. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The entire motor compartment is restored and detailed to show quality. Really, it looks brand new. The main attraction is the performance built 468 big block. It is putting out close to 600 hp. Only 1,200 miles since rebuilt, we have receipt, Oct 5th 2017. It has new Brodix aluminum heads which he spent $600 reworking and porting, Lunati cam, roller lifters, aluminum intake and Holley carb. The engine is a 454 Chevelle, it was balanced and blue printed. Has a functional nitrous system that has never been used on this motor. (Actually it hasn't been used since 1999 and it was on a completely different drivetrain). It also has MSD ignition system and headers. Other features are an ice cold air conditioning system, power steering and power disc brakes. The firewall, inner fenders, core support, under hood are painted a smooth glossy finish with a lot of attention to detail. The master cylinder is new and the Tuff Stuff booster, has an auxiliary vacuum can too. A new giant aluminum radiator with dual electric fans is plenty to keep this truck cool. Has a nice polished overflow bottle. Every belt, hose, bracket, bolt looks new. 1 year old Vintage Air heat and a/c system. UNDERSIDE: Bottom of motor is spotless, has oversized oil pan, new starter, chrome inspection cover. The trans is a turbo 350 performance built to the motor specs only 1,200 miles ago. Has chrome pan. The rear end is all new, has Auburn 4.10 posi. The suspension and steering has been rebuilt, shocks replaced. Upgraded sway bars front and back. A big fat exhaust system was custom bent and has stainless mufflers and crossover pipe. There is a custom Holley fuel delivery system with braided stainless hoses, filter and electric pump. The metal under this truck is clean original, no patches or rot. This truck has all the desirable features, it's in show condition. The owner of 28 years was very proud and did not cut corners. He says drive it anywhere! It doesn't just haul cotton balls, it hauls ass!
