From 1968-1972 Chevrolet production of the Corvette was also known as the C3. Engine and chassis components were mostly carried over from the previous generation but the exterior styling and interior were radically new. The C3 saw all types of changes not only with the car but with economy and fuel crisis and increased call for safety. In 1973 The Corvette really started making a transformation from Muscle car to Sport Touring. In 1973 a few engine variants were offered... and all of them were detuned versions of what they had already produced making it more appealing to the insurance companies that were coming down on the Big Three. This particular Corvette which is finished in a very nice Mille Miglia Red over tan is a pretty awesome car featuring the optional 454 Cubic Inch Engine that different HP ratings depending on who you talked to. In addition it also was fully optioned up with the exception of the off-road suspension which only a handful of cars received. It has Power Brakes, Power Steering, working A/C, Power Windows and a tilt column. This cars mileage of 25,215 could be accurate with the length of ownership and condition of the car receiving just one re-paint many years ago. The car has never been a daily driver and has been well cared for. The paint is showing signs of age with some oxidation but the rest of the condition of the car shows like a true survivor. This C3 starts with the snap of the key, shifts perfectly and sounds awesome. It has just received a full service and is ready to be enjoyed immediately.
