Description of 1965 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport |
Our 1965 Impala SS 396 is an un-restored beauty with 44,872 original miles. The car is optioned with power steering, power brakes, power windows and an AM/FM radio with front and rear speakers. We have all the original documentation for the car including the famous "Protect-O-Plate". It is becoming extremely rare to find examples of these cars that have not undergone major restorations which is what attracted me to this car when I bought it about 15 years ago. When I got the car it had some type of 15" Mag wheels which I removed and replaced with the original 14" rims and SS spinner hubcaps which were standard on the car at purchase. I also replaced the dual exhaust system from manifold to tailpipes with a stainless steel dual exhaust along with a new battery and a new Holley Carb. There is absolutely NO RUST anywhere on the car. You could eat off the fender skirts as you can see in the pictures of the engine compartment. It has always been stored in a heated garage with the rest of my collectible cars. The convertible top is in brand new condition along with the glass rear window. I have found that the motor to raise and lower the top is running slow so I would recommend that the next owner replace it (easily available part). I have put less than 1,000 miles on the car since I purchased it. I am selling the car since I am getting up a bit in years and I'm finding it hard to spend the time taking care of my vehicles properly (which includes getting them out and driving them). Therefore, it's time for this amazing classic to find a new home where it will be appreciated. If there are things you would like to see which aren't in my pictures, feel free to let me know and I'll be happy to take/send more shots. If you have no/negative feedback, you will need to contact me before bidding. As you can see from my feedback, I am a long time ebayer with solid feedback. Happy bidding and good luck. I will assist the new owners regarding shipping. If you are in the Central Pennsylvania area I may be able to assist with delivery. I will accept cash, certified checks or wire transfers. With anything other than cash, I cannot release the car or title until my bank has confirmed that all funds have cleared. Being a private seller, I'm sure you understand that. Over the next few months I will be selling a number of cars from my collection including a '57 BelAir Convertible, '53 BelAir Convertible and a '71 Buick Riviera (boattail) so follow me and keep an eye out for those auctions also. |
