Description of 1971 Chevrolet Nova SS 12 BOLT MUNCIE 4 SPD 35,000 ACTUAL MILES |
Once in a life time find on this genuine 1971 Nova SS Triple Black 4-spd 12 bolt car. 35,000 Actual miles. You will likely never see another one in your life time that is not restored in this condition as an example of how they really were when they came from GM. Amazing time capsule! There were less than 3975 1971 Nova SS cars built with Muncie 4speed trans and 12 bolt rear axle out of the 194,000 Nova produced in 1971. This is less than 3%. There were over 13,000 SS 4speed Novas produced in 1970, so 1971 is a more rare car. This car deserves to go to a collector who can put it up in a "cocoon" type of environmentwhere it can be further preserved and appreciated. Someone that realized how few cars are left like this in the world that are nearly 50 years old. This is likely the lowest documented mileage early Nova SS you will find on the market place, and I suspect even if you find one with this sort of mileage or less, it will not be in as good of condition if it has not been restored. This Nova was assembled by GM with the highest horsepower engine package available that could be ordered in 1971! More information to come! This is what I wrote to Jerry McNeish on this car. Better photos to come. Just got it home today. This car has never been hacked. Originalradio with originalspeakers.Wiring under dash unmolested and looks like new. Fuel tank appears to beoriginalwith originalfuel lines and vapor can behind rear seat in truckstill present and looks like new. GM inspection stickers still on dash cluster.Appears dash and cluster and radio have never been removed from the car. Appearsseats were never removed from the car. I did pop up only the lower back seatportion to look for build sheet. One is there wrapped around seat frame. Left itthere undisturbed. No signs of rodents or any articlesunder back seat. Appearsthe back seat was not used. Looks like it was never sat in. Does not even needcleaned under rear seat--no food or pens or coins under back seat--clean justjust like it left the GM line. All GM originalpaper and floor insulation under backseat and metal like brand new. All originalGM dated seat belts mint like new, including the GM shoulder belts clipped on headliner--headliner is mint!! Bottoms ofseats, springs, and seat burlap in MINT condition. Almost hard to believe the interioris original. However, I assure you it is! |
