Description of 1951 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery |
Up for sale is a great Rat Rod or project car, a 1951 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery. Only 2300 were made. Features a fresh 350 with a mild cam and new edelbrock 4 barrel carb. Fires right up and sounds awesome. New Battery in December. The trans is a turbo 350 that does need new seals. This car was built (not restored) by a professional shop sometime in the eighties and they put a Camaro front end on it (1968 maybe??). 10 bolt rear end. Drum brakes all the way around. No power steering, no A/C, no power brakes. New tires. The glass is all good with the exception of the driver door. Its there, just needs replaced. The passenger wing window has a one inch crack but that's no big deal. Aftermarket gauges (Classic Instruments). GM Sunvisor. Ron Francis Wiring Harness, that needs to be redone. Interior needs to be done too. Wood floor in the back. Rust - Yes there is rust. There is some on both sides of the floor, both rockers, under the windshield on the passenger side. All three doors. And there is probably more too. I tried to get pics of it all. Just assume its a little worse than what you are imagining. Its all fixable. Clear Arizona title. This car is 99% complete so you wont spend months and months chasing down parts. Near as I can tell, the only parts missing are the bumper guards and passenger door panel. The driver door panel will probably fall apart so don't count on that one. All this car needs to be drivable is the transmission seals and redo the wiring. You can use this wiring kit, it just needs to be redone. You are responsible for paying for and coordinating shipping. I will help load it and help the shipper any way I can. $500 non refundable deposit due immediately via Paypal. The balance will be check or money order. I will do my best to answer questions. |
