This is a no reserve auction, there is no "buy it now" price! It takes time, money, and effort to post an ad on ebay. You are bidding to OWN the truck! Please, only bid if you plan on closing the deal! This is a 1949 GMC short bed, 1/2 ton truck mounted on a GMC Sonoma/chevy s10 frame. The truck has the fuel injected 4.3 vortec engine. A new aluminum radiator and electric fan have been added. It is equipped with the 700r4 auto transmission, power tilt steering, power disc brakes, anti-lock rear brakes. The truck even has the A/C system, it was blowing cold till the condenser was damaged. A new condenser was installed, but has not been recharged yet.Truck has American Racing alloy wheels, bigger tires in rear for more of a rake. The gas tank is under the bed, fuel filler hole in cab has been shaved, hood has the center strip and emblems shaved as well. Gas filler is now inside an ammo can, vintage pepsi crate is screwed down in the bed for storing loose items. The truck is on stock springs, not lowered, slight body drop, so it rides like a stock s-10..smooth!You could let it ride stock, bag it, or old school drop it for that slammed look! All the windows are new, green tinted, with new front and rear seals, new outside door handles, tail lights and headlights. Turn signals were added, even though they are not required for a 1949. Windshield wipers were converted from vacuum to electric powered.Truck is a little bit hot rod, and a little bit rat rod, with the dependability of a mostly stock modern truck underneath, so it is not a show truck, do not expect a new Toyota! The truck is not perfect, it is old! Paint has some imperfections/scratches etc. but is a real head turner for sure!Window felts could be replaced, Floors have been replaced at some point, and covered with truck bed liner. I now have the correct GMC grill if wanted. Some detail work/finishing/adjusting here and there could be done. Truck starts/stops/runs/drives, it has good power too! I have not driven it very far, or fast as it has no tags or seat belts, but starts every time. Installing some triple gauges under the dash to monitor the engine would be a good idea before driving too far/fast.I have a fresh, clean title for the truck (titled as a 1949 GMC).Feel free to ask questions or set up a time to come see the truck and I will do my best to accommodate you.Pease check with your significant other and /or bank before bidding. Only bid if you fully intend to close the deal at the end of the auction,The $500 deposit is due at that time and is not refundable. You are bidding to OWN the truck, not the right of first refusal! Thanks for looking!
