Up for auction is this 1974 Chevrolet Chevelle Laguna S3 454 is a reproduction of the promotional car used for the famous Cannonball Run movie, which starred Burt Reynolds as J.J..Mclure . The movie car and this promo car were badged as a street version of the Hawaiian Tropic race car. In the movie the Hawaiian Tropic car was driven by Terry Bradshaw and Mel Tillus as a couple of "Good ol' boys " . This car was used for promotional purposes by Restore a Muscle Car and the Burt Reynolds Institute. It has also been used in numerous shows around the country. It is a older restoration with the original 454 Ci. having a 400 automatic transmission, it also has a leather interior with factory swivel bucket seats and Burt Reynolds personally signed the glove box. It is equipped with Goodyear Eagle one tires and dual exhaust system with electric cut-outs, hooker headers and flow master mufflers. An over all solid car. It also has a fiberglass cowl-dash induction hood with cragar chrome mod wheels, Sony sound system and factory gauges.This car runs Great. There are a few minor blemishes as shown in pictures.
