Works beautifully. See details below and video at the bottom.Runs and drives great. Garage kept and babied! Owned since July 2012. The body was painted along with the wheels May 2013 by a pro paint shop and has been garage kept since. The paint is Artesian Turquoise, a factory correct '65 color for Chevrolet, and it has correct rally wheels with the hubcaps and rings of that era. Professionally blasted with sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) process to remove gunk and corrosion, some very light body touch up work performed, and thenpainted with multiple base coats of Artesian Turqoise and a full clear urethane coat. The engine bay has a full primer coat, base coat of gloss black, and urethane clear coat. Features front disc brakes, power steering, and new tires. Has a 350 cu. in. crate engine (high performance 4 bolt main, casting number 3970010), Muncie M22 4 speed transmission, Hurst shifter, 750 cfm 4-barrel Holley carburetor, dual exhaust with headers, and numerous suspension parts installed before purchase in 2012. Since 2012, this Elky has gotten a new steering wheel and horn accessories, High Energy Ignition distributor with 8.5 mm wires, new tachometer (installed in dash in place of non-working clock), steel valve covers, rebuilt steering gear box, new retro stereo, dash speaker, and antenna, shroud for the radiator custom made by a local hot rod shop, harmonic balancer, new trim pieces, chrome pieces around the bed, grill and its emblem, 350 insignia and flag on the front fenders. Also, has new rubberseals around the door windows. New clutch kit & flywheel, replaced all the valve lifters, rear main seal, and full carburetor tune were professionally done in 2018. Engine compression is excellent at 170-175 psi for all cylinders. Inside of the cab has been completely redone with new vinyl and headliner. A professional upholstery shop re-stuffed the bucket seats with new foam along with new sound dampening and new carpet. New instrument cluster bezel installed. Professionally wired dash, new speaker, and new Retro Sound AM/FM radio that has Bluetooth for hands free calling and streaming, USB and AUX inputs,MP3 & WMA playback, and a 32,000 color scrolling LCD display. Service Manuals and Wiring diagrams will be included. A clean example of a great 1965 that's ready for a night, week, or month on the town.
