Description of 1966 Chevrolet El Camino

Up for sale is my 1966 El Camino. I did a frame off restoration on it about 7 years ago. The frame was stripped . epoxy primed . and painted. All new suspension. lines. brakes. ext. It has a low mileage 97 model LT1 and a 700r4. The rear end is a factory 12 Bolt posi. that came out of a big block 66 El Camino. It has Richmond 3. 90 gears. The motor has been tuned and runs very good. All of the sensors where replaced and the distributer. radiator. ext. Anything that I thought might fail I replaced. It has a Edelbrock Nitous system designed for the LT1. I have never used it. The bottle has never been filled. There is a 80 h. p. jet in it and the 97 motors are all forged so it would not hurt anything if you wanted to give it a whirl. It is very clean. I tried to make it look as factory as possible. It has a OBD2 port under the dash for diagnostics. The body was stripped. epoxy primed. and undercoated. The bed has a spray in liner and a real nice cover. Most of the trim is new and what is not is in real good shape. It has brand new tires and a perfect set of NOS dog dish hubcaps. It was painted with a single stage satin urethane paint. The hood could use a repaint. I painted it at a later time and something was jacked up with the paint. Its got a few little bubbles on it. I have dang near perfect stock hood I was going to paint and put on it this summer I will throw in. All of the dash trim is new and the dash has never been hacked on. It has new factory style seat cover and door panels also. nbsp; I have probably put around 15. 00 miles on it since I built it. It has never gave me a lick of trouble. It still needs carpet installed and a headliner. I started driving it and never got around to putting the in there. Recently the speedo stopped working and I am pretty sure it is just a cable. Oh. the radio part of the stereo stopped working also. Its one of those direct replacement ones with the aux. port so I have been just using my phone. I have been around this car for the past thirty years. It is very solid and has no rust. It is fast. reliable. and gets around 22 m. p. g. You could jump in this thing tomorrow and drive it across the country and never have to lift the hood. 100 degrees or 10 degrees it runs great and never overheats. The body is super straight and would take a gloss finish without a problem. I have a crap load of money tied up in this thing and it is a very good car but I am getting down to one classic car in the garage. If you have any questions feel free to email me and I will get back with you as quick as I can. I am setting my reserve low so good look bidding. On Mar-08-15 at 06:58:58 PDT. seller added the following information:Oh it has headman elite series headers and a stainless pipes exhaust with crossover (sounds awesome). I have the hardware for the headliner. If it don't sell this week I will install the carpet and headliner and raise the price in the near future. This car was built to drive and it does it well. All of the wiring and plumbing ext. is neater then GM ever would have done. If your looking for a super high end trailer queen you probably need to keep looking. If you want a solid car to drive to the shows or take on power tour and run down the strip when your 1000 miles from home without worries this would be your ride. I have the car for sale locally so I have the right to end the auction at any time. Thanks
