Description of 1972 Chevrolet Blazer |
This is a rock solid 1st generation k5 Blazer that has recently finished a frame-on restoration! There are approximately 2,782 miles on the truck since the restoration was completed. The truck was built in St. Louis, MO and spent most of its life in California. I bought it in March of 2015 and it's been stored winters since then. Everything on the truck works, right down to the cigarette lighter! The truck had been recently painted (driver quality) when I purchased it and the motor freshly rebuilt. The 350 was stroked to a 383 and included aluminum heads and a mild cam. The undercarriage is super clean- no rust or rot. The truck spent its life around Los Angeles, far enough away from the ocean to avoid salt. Exterior 18" Eagle Alloy Wheels 35" Khumo Road Venture tires 35X12.50X18LT with about 1" of tread (see photos) Painted in 2014- Driver quality. There are some scratches and chips that have been touched-up. All glass is in good condition on truck and top. Hatch window on top does have engraving. Hinges on the top work good. Top has been painted and is in fair condition. No cracks in fiberglass. Does need new seals. New · Fuel filler neck · Vent windows and passenger side assembly · All window cranks taken apart, cleaned and lubricated Interior · New rear view mirror Electrical · New Optima YellowTop battery & cables Drive Train 383 Stroker motor rebuilt by previous owner. I've had it apart and done the following to it: Turbo 350 transmission with shift kit · New filter kit Drive shafts & Axels · New U-joints I have over $15,000 invested + the cost of the truck. All receipts are on file. I had an appraisal done in 2016 (available upon request) and the value was $22,500. This was prior to the restoration being completed and the market for these 1st gen k5's has increased dramatically. I've driven it minimally since the restoration was completed. I don't get enough time to drive and enjoy it. If you're looking for a great daily driver that is road ready, this is your truck. If you want a show truck, you'll have it with new paint and carpet in the interior. *Truck is for sale locally and I reserve the right to pull this listing at any time. $500 deposit due within 24 hours of completed sale. Balance due within 7 days. |
