Description of 1969 Chevrolet Corvette |
Up for sale is my 1969 Corvette Roadster. It is an original L71 optioned 427ci, 435hp big block car that currently has a 454 ci engine out of a 1975 full size Chevrolet. I have been working on the car for 2 years and the car is ready to enjoy. I have the original build sheet showing the L71 option, and it is an original 2 top, red exterior and black interior car. The build sheet shows its age but you can still see the L71 option. The interior has been reconditioned with new carpets and all looks excellent. The convertible top is newer and fits great, and the hardtop is in great shape. The car appears to have all its original fiberglass but I can see some repairs were made from underneath on the driver side front fender. I have restored the engine compartment and the undercarriage and it is in near show quality. I did not paint the car but did a lot a work on the paint to make it a good driver quality. The paint looks good from a short distance but upon close examination you can see touched up chips and scratches and some stress cracks. I have also put all new correct exhaust on the car. The tires are newer white letter Goodyear. The glass is all original and in good shape with a few small pecks but no cracks. The chrome is good driver quality with a couple of small pings on the front bumper. There are a few things I know about that can be corrected by the new owner. I have replaced all the vacuum relays and actuators so the headlights and wiper door will work correctly but the headlights want to raise when car is started but will shortly go back down and stay. The fuel gauge does not read correctly but I did replace the fuel tank sending unit. All other gauges work including the clock and original radio. The emergency brake does not hold car in place. I purchased this car from an estate and the owner purchased the car in 1988 and mostly sat after the owner became paralyzed. This is a powerful car and with the low gearing is probably not a good highway cruiser. I have a clear Missouri title in my name for easy transfer to you. I want a happy new owner so nothing replaces a personal inspection of the car so you can see first hand. So, be sure to be satisfied on item description before bidding. I will need a signed bill of sale from buyer so I can get sales tax credit on another purchased vehicle in Missouri. I will need cleared funds before vehicle pickup. Please do not bid if you don't have the money, feel uncomfortable sending payment by wire transfer before pick up, want to inspect only "after" you are the winning bidder, can't complete the sale in the required time, or do not know how you are going to get the car from my location to your location. I have been having trouble with buyers not understanding these principles of car buying. Remember, the $500 deposit is non-refundable. Please let me know if you have any further questions in case I have left anything out in the description. Call Mark at 417-887-4276 |
