1959 El Camino, rare big block 348. Car was built at the Los Angeles plant, I bought it from the west coast. Factory red car with grey interior and deluxe trim package (padded dash, fender ornaments, dual visors and armrests) as trim tag pic shows. The 1959 348 was rebuilt by previous owner, runs great, I just rebuilt the 4 barrel with new accelerator pump. Upgraded to T5 5 speed manual transmission from a Camaro. Original headliner still in car, newer bucket seats and console added, carpet and door panels redone. Upgraded to power disc front brakes. New style 500 series power steering box from CPP with new steering linkage, upper ball joints and big Hotchkis sway bar. New front lowering springs and shocks. All lights, blinkers, speedo, odometer, oil, ammeter, tach and fuel gauge work-sometimes fuel gauge jumps to full but does read correctly most of the time. All 4 windows crank open/close, horns work, fan motor works, doors shut nice, tail gate closes good.
Many new parts: tail light lenses, emblems, inner fender rubber flaps, valve covers, alternator, billet pulleys-extra groove to add A/C, radio (original still in dash), speakers, flex fan. BFG radials, new style 14" rims to clear disc brake calipers, original hub caps and trim rings. 19 photos above to view. Pics show exterior condition, floor pans do have patches but function fine. No rust bubbling showing on exterior panels. Original '59 bed in nice shape. You can drive this thing to any show. Runs, starts, stops, sounds and drives great. Listed locally for sale on Minneapolis CL, auction could end early. If have any more questions or need more pics, let me know. Can help load if you have it shipped. Thanks.
