Description of 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 bel air |
Cutest littlest 57 I've ever seen. I guess that's why I bought it. It started life as a 4 door Bel Air Wagon and sometime in the early 80's someone chopped out the middle doors. I always wanted one of these to make into a gasser. And this was the perfect candidate. But projects and kids are ahead of it and no time to make it happen. The front clip on this is clean and nice. Bel Air grill an gills are present and seem fairy new. I've owned it for 3 years and have not touched it other than drive it around the block a half dozen times. The 383 stroker is very torquey in this little car and sounds aggressive. Has fewer than 500 miles on it. And the tranny shifts great and smooth. Does leak atf when sitting for a month. As short as it is it almost pulls the wheels off the ground when you step on it. Radiator needs to be mounted better as it is in front of support and needs bolted together but will drive around without heating up. Stops good but wiring needs work for lights. Bumpers and what stainless is there is real nice. Body for the most part seems not to have rust bubbles or holes. I'm sure in the middle of the roof there is bondo, i'm just trying to be honest. The floors need help as they are rusty in the front and poorly patched. Has the rare lift rear door. Big project but like I said I was going to do a gasser so it didn't bother me for what was here is a great start. Runs fun and fast and gets a lot of looks. Any questions please feel free to ask thanks. Tanner 208 590 1377 |
