Description of 1955 Chevrolet Other Pickups

1954/1955 Chevy Chevrolet Truck
No Reserve! Highest bid gets it, and only a 5 day auction.
I'm not trying to confuse anyone with the listing title, the truck is a 1955, but it is obviously the early 55 that looks like the '54 model. That is why I listed it this way.
If you have followed any of my previous auctions, this truck is similar in the fact it came from a farm here in Kansas. It was still in use up to about 10 years ago, when it was replaced for a newer truck. It had sat for the last 10 years or so, until I purchased it and hauled it home. We put some fresh fuel in the tank, installed a new battery, cleaned up the points, and she fired right up. We added some brake fluid, and the brakes even pumped up! They do, however need to be bled, and possibly adjusted to work properly.
The body, overall is pretty solid. This does have some rust in the cab corners, and they had put some crude patches over them. Also, the floor boards are solid, but there are a couple thin spots/pinholes. They are not perfect, but they are perfectly functional. The driver side door does have a dent, and one hood hinge could use come help. When you list all the faults on a 60+ year old vehicle, it can make it sound like a junker, this truck is definitely not that, it is a solid truck, I just want to be honest, and for you to know exactly what you are bidding on.
I would label this as a perfect project for a novice mechanic, or maybe even a father son type project. It's going to need basic service items like points, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, etc. (pretty sure you can buy all these for about 25 bucks) but it is already running and driving, so you know what you are starting with - 235 engine starts nice and sounds good - exhaust a little loud. Shifts well through all 4 gears. Has 2 speed rear diff. Gauges work, as well as most of the lights. Has a PTO driven hydraulic dump bed that works excellent. Hopefully this tells you what you need to know, but if you do have questions you can call or text Cort at 620-786-5172. Truck is located in Great Bend, KS and will haul on 18ft car trailer. I will help load or load for you for free, and it can also set here for a month or 2 if needed as long as it is paid for. As for the title this truck will come with a State of Kansas antique bill of sale. This works just fine in nearly every state. If you live in a state that this is a problem, just let me know and I can get a clear Kansas title, I would just ask that you pay an extra $100.00 to cover my expenses. It takes 30 days or less, and I guarantee it - please check my feedback. Good Luck!
