Description of 1992 Chevrolet Corvette |
No accidents, clean carfax and autocheck, 100% original paint, was always garage kept, no modifications. Production of convertibles this year was 5872. Only 678 Corvette coupes and convertibles were painted Corvette Yellow in 1992, representing 3.3% of production of both models, so it is therefore likely that only 194 convertibles were Yellow, and this one has the 6-speed manual transmission, which makes it more desirable than an automatic equipped car. 1992 was the first year for the new LT1 5.7 fuel injected engine with 300 horsepower. This yielded 0-60 performance of 5.6 seconds, 1/4 mile times of 13.9 seconds, and a 157 MPH top speed. These engines were excellent and I have had a great many GM cars so equipped, so I can speak from much experience with them over many years and much mileage. This convertible has the rare factory luggage rack, as only 845 units were equipped, power leather sport seats, selective ride and handling suspension, Bose stereo, and 3.45 rear end gears. All options are listed on the factory SPID label, pictured. Condition of paint and exterior surfaces including the top is perfect with no damage. The interior leather, carpet, and dash is also perfect - all consistent with the low mileage and indoor storage of the car for its entire life, and there is no rust or corrosion underneath. The car runs and drives 100%, there are no leaks, everything works as it should, and the factory A/C is ice cold. All fuel injectors were recently replaced, along with the battery, the tires have excellent tread, brakes are excellent and the car needs no mechanical repair or service and is ready to enjoy as you see fit. I am a collector of interesting GM classics and have sold cars all over the world, so overseas buyers are welcome, and the buyer will arrange his own shipping. Since I am a licensed dealer, I can issue a 30-day temp tag to a US or Canadian buyer with proof of insurance. If the buyer is in NJ, he will pay tax to me. I have no dealer charges whatsoever, since you are dealing with me, the owner. The car is advertised elsewhere, so I reserve the right to sell it locally if someone buys it there first. It is stored indoors and you will need an appointment with me to view it and you can call me on my cell, (seven, three, two, five, three, nine, four, zero, four, zero) to inquire and to make any arrangements. The car has been priced reasonably with respect to others available, condition, mileage, scarcity, and excellent provenance. If you are a zero-feedback buyer, you will need to contact me prior to bidding. Thank you for your attention and I look forward to hearing from serious buyers. |
