Description of 1964 Chevrolet Impala

1964 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport 327/300hp 4 Speed This car is off a fresh frame on restoration. The car is a Rust Free Arizona Car and was in great condition before the restoration so there was no need to do the frame off. however. the car was taken down to bare metal again. and media blasted with walnut shells to prevent metal warping and then a rust preventative was applied (POR51) to protect the metal. I have well over 200+ pictures of the restoration that will go to the winning bidder. Almost everything on this car has been restored to new or replaced with all NOS parts. This Impala has a freshly rebuilt Muncie 4 speed Transmission and a rebuilt V8. 327. 300 hp motor with camel hump fuelie heads. Under the factory looking air cleaner is a new Edelbrock 600 cfm carburetor and New Edelbrock Aluminum High Performance intake painted to match the engine and everything was fabricated to keep that stock look. I also removed the stock points distributor and installed an HEI Distributor for much better performance. The still have the original 4 barrel cast iron intake. carburetor and points distributor and they will go with the car if you wanted to put them back in. The exhaust manifolds have been Jet Coated to withstand high temperature and keep that cast iron look. New dual exhaust 2 inch pipe and Mufflers installed all the way from front to back. She purrs like a kitten. New Starter. Alternator. Spark plug wires. New Fuel Pump and Gas tank was flushed. coated and restored to new. Radiator was also flushed and coated. The car was painted a beautiful PPG Mercedes Benz iridium silver. The car is very straight due the countless hours done in the preparation of this car. Trunk of the car was painted white and black Zolatone splatter paint. A brand new factory type Super Sport Red interior was done by a professional upholster who has over 35 years experience. All the upholstery material was bought at Ciadellas Interiors. The new upholstery includes: New Carpet. Headliner. Door Sill plates. Door Panels. Visors. Package tray. Dash Mat. Center Console. Seat Belts and of course all the seats and sail panels were done. Speedometer and rear view mirror were also restored. All of the exterior stainless trim was sent off to be polished and all of the side trim has new steel correct twirled SS inserts were put in. not those cheap stickers. New Dual Antennas installed. The car has all Brand New Glass all the way around. except for the vent glass. it was still in very nice condition. (New Front and Rear Windshield. and all the Door and Quarter glass is new). All new Weatherstrip is on the car including the door weatherstrip and quarter U seals (not in pictures. on order). Front and rear windshield weatherstrip. glove box. trunk and hood. roof panel. all glass weatherstrip all NEW. The car floors and undercarriage were also coated in rust preventative Por 51 and sound/heat detonator was applied. Fender wells were also coated and new chevy bow tie bolts installed. Heater box was restored with all new seals. new heater core and Factory GM stamped heater hoses installed. Brand new Brakes and Brake parts all the way around. Factory Drums were all turned as well. New Power Brake Booster installed as well. The Grill was restored. all bracket parts were powder coated. correct rivets. and an original Chevrolet emblem installed. Headlight buckets restored and correct T3 headlights installed. All emblems on the car have been restored or new emblem inserts installed. A fresh set of 195/85/14 white wall tires and the Original Super Sport wheel covers are on the car. Wheel covers do have some light scratches on them. not perfect but are very nice. Both front and rear Bumpers have been re-chromed and all the brackets have been powder coated and reassembled with new bolts. All electrical on the car works. the interior lights turn on when you open the doors. brake lights. license plate light works. trunk light and all turn signals work. All tail light lenses and bezels are brand new. The car runs and drives great. This is a Nice Impala Super Sport. A great deal of Attention to detail was spent on the car. from the hood latch to chevy bowtie bolts. Anyone is welcomed to come view. and test the car out.
