Description of 1959 Chevrolet Nomad IMPALA

1 9 5 9 Chevrolet Nomad

Rare 348 V8Optioned

CALIFORNIA CAR

Impala / Nomad Top of the Line

Hello,

Your looking at a Rare 1959 Chevrolet Nomad, yes a Nomad, Originally ordered with the 348 Big Block V8 and still with it's Original Factory, now cool Patina-ed paint.

Ready for a Patina Clear coat?,...or aTotal Restoration? Either way, its a super solid, straight California Car to do your choice to!

Overall this '59 is a very solid car as '59 wagons go. There is only rustout is mainlyisolated to the rear lower foot pans. The front drivers pan is very good the passenger side pan hasone small spot needing minor repair only. (if a rat rod driver is the case, the rear floor foot panswill hold with a flat pan screwed in for a quick fix.) The Proper repair would be a re-stamped factory pan welded in of course. Note, Someone was going to install a four speed and cut a hole for the floor access. The only other rust out was in the rear inner back upper deck lid hinge and rear lip of the deck tray. (see photos)The doors, fenders, hood, tailgate, are all rust free and solid. The factory seams are all good, doors, gate, etc,the wheel wells, wheel well lips, are all good too, rockers inner and outer are all good. the frame is very good also, no rot anywhere. Braces and body mounts are all good.

This classic nomad wagonhas beensitting inside for 25-30 years after being dragged from the field where critters where starting to have fun inside. All gone now all cleaned out. The main body has bumps and bruises from the many years, but it is all original and still in the original factory paint, Gothic Gold Poly and Snowcrest White, cept for the lower hood nose was replaced at some point. interior is all ratty and needs all replaced, but it is all there cept the drivers upper door panel, rear passenger side arm rest.

Missing items known, rear gate window only, innermechanism works great with center roller in order. (should be power rear window wires are all there, no switch.) drivers side upper wing small paint divider is missing, nomad metal side letters were robbed at some point also.

Overall Body is straight and has had bumps and bruises hammered out in spots keeping it original with NO BODY WORK OR FILLERS ANYWHERE FOUND. What you see is what it is, REAL ORIGINAL METAL!

4 Tires are all new radials 215 x 70 x 14"with steel rims with '59 Chevrolet dog dish caps.

Weatherstrip is in pretty good condition on the doors, gate is still half there on the sides.

Rear Door Windows and all doors and locks, hood, tailgate latch, operate very well.

Glass is all original but the two front flat drivers door windows are cracked. One rear drivers side rear curved is cracked. front windshield is good and all the others are good.

The main exterior body bruises/dings are as follows:The lower rear drivers 1/4 had a dent midway up, the top of the curves of the passenger front and rear doors, lower bottom of the passenger 1/4 has a ding from bottoming out, scrapes down passenger side.

The Chevrolet engine is available if wanted, it is a frozen/stuck matching numbers 348 V8 big block. it is outside the car and will need loaded by your shipper so it will need to be planned out before hand. No automatic transmission, the drive shaft is there, & rear end is original!

This '59 Nomad wagon is Rare and can be a "patina clear classic" or a very high dollar restoration classic Nomad. It can go either way.

Thank you for Looking... and we have other Wagons coming up!
