Description of 1965 Chevrolet Impala

Hello. You are bidding on a 1965 Impala from the west coast. At has a `73 454 Engine and TH400 transmission, and non posi rear end. It is NOT an original big block car, SS etc, just a base model.
Condition is as follows:Drivetrain:
Engine fires up every time, has great oil pressure and runs excellent. Intake is an Edelbrock Performer, carb is a Quadrajet, and ignition has been upgraded to an HEI. Transmission has a little stall in the torque converter and shifts well. Has aftermarket aluminum radiator with electric fan and stock style mechanical fan. Recently had the intake resealed, new valve cover gaskets, new header gaskets, water pump, thermostat and housing. Headers are Hooker Competition with Flowmaster mufflers. Suspension is good, all 4 drum brakes are good, power steering works good and had a recent power steering pump installed. Tires have good tread all around. Wheels are old school torq thrusts, 15" rears, 14" front. This car however, drives like a 65 Impala, basically like a tuna boat, like a hay wagon. If you want to carve up the mountain roads, a stiff set of shocks and huge anti sway bars are a must.Interior:Had been reupholstered at some point but is still looks great. Overall, interior would be considered excellent driver quality, not perfect, but very presentable. All windows and regulators work good, but the drivers side needs new rollers.
Body:Overall, solid body, nice floors, no major rust or cancer. Has had previous body and paint which is now getting tired. There is cracks, chips, and blems in the paint. Will need a repaint and some bodywork at some point, but is still acceptable for a driver, cruise nights. I have not seen any signs of major accidents, bent frame, or buckled quarter panels etc. Trunk floor as you can see, is very solid with only some minor rust and some pinholes in a few places.
Overall, this is a cool looking, driver quality car that just needs the little things from this point forward.
