first off let me apologize about my windy, scattered description, here we go 1972 nova "K" code ss[the k in the vin designatesL48super sport]with 19670 miles documented with previous title back to the mid 80s. this car has had a paint blend on the drivers quarter and slightly into the door, I looked closely inside and out and don't see any damage so I am guessing maybe it was scratched???the rest of the bodypaint to the best of my knowledge is original and in excellent condition, the blended panel has 2 very smalspots that have what I would callsuperficial laquer check that wont even show in the photos, hardly worth mentioning but I want to be as honest as I canit looks better in person than the photos show.code 63 Mohave gold, the trunk has the original xylatone [spatter] paint, ive shown a photo where it has lifted on the pass 1/4 this is flash corrosion only and wipes off with laquer thinner.I was going to re spatter that section but I didn't want anyone to think I was hiding something so should it sell I will leave it up to the next owner.that is the only corrosion ive found. it was zeibarted when new as evidenced by the yellow plugs along with the zeibart the under side was done I have beenall over the bottom of this carand nothing is hidden underneath that's the way they did it in the 70s.has the custom exterior package giving it the rocker mouldings paint stripe and bright window mouldings all of wich are excellant.I wont use the term survivor or any sort of find as these are thrown around with far to much indescretion these days. I will tell you ive been around these gm muscle cars for most of my life [58 years]I drove these in high school in the 70s when we routinely ran them till there was nothing left of them in a short order and this is hands down a standout,i have the ncrs report showing a production date of 4-24-72.It was my understanding the drivetrain was changed when nearly new, the motor is a crate lt1 short block numbers are 3970010 cast date e82[may 8th 1972] stamped code v0510xcd[assembled may 10th] meaning the motor was built a few weeks after the car leading me to believe it was turned into a wolf in sheeps clothing when new, but I am not certain.it was also my understanding the original owner wanted a yenko but as we all know they weren't making them anymore in 72 so he built his own.once again this is speculation but for whatever reason this was modified withthe best speed parts of the time. this is 70s muscle at its best!!!motor has an ultra rareset of 202 angle plug heads a big solid cam roller rockers and check out the edelbrock smokey ram intake!!!! currently has an aed 750 carb but I have the original 800 holley that this was set up with. mallory unilite ignition deep groove pulleys deep sump pan and the list goes on and on, has a super t10 with a hurst supershifter scattershield etc.rear end is a 12 bolt code bt wich my research shows is a 69 L78 car now has 4.56 gears and traction bars. this car runs super strong and drives really well. doors shut with two fingers and surprisinglyits not all twisted and torn up,as most of these were hammered right into the ground, interior is excellent with the exception of some splits on the drivers seat, has period correct autometer gauges and tach.the dash is mint glass is original and excellent with a couple of tiny chips in the windshield wich by the way showsthe original rope ribbon telling me its never been out of the car, door felts and seals are excellent as wellwith only the drivers door seal being a little buggered up I am guessing the owner was locked out and had to use a coat hanger to get in,it has been in and out of long term climate controlled storage and to the best of my knowledgewas never used as a daily driver and never subjected to inclement weather. the earliest title I have shows 12541 miles in 1985, it was sold in 1997 with 12554 miles putting just13 miles on in 12 years!!!! subsequent titles show I believe 2 or3 owners using the car sparingly till I bought it a little over a year ago. ive put a few hundred miles on it and it is a blast to drive.i would really like to know the whole story on this car, it wassold new in west Virginia and wasalong the eastern u.s. before I brought it to minn. i have a list from the last owner as to the work he had done when he "woke" the car up 3 or 4 years ago, along with a detailed list of what the motor has on the inside, I can discus it with you over the phone.I was always going to try to track down some previous owners but that's not in the cards for me,i genuinely believe this car has some sort of history somewhere.there is a lot more to say about this car and I urge anyone who is serious about being the next "caretaker"to CALL ME at six 5 one- 3 three one- 8710, I will tell you what I know about in in a transparent fashion.cars like this seldom come up for sale that are unrestored in this condition, is it perfect? hell no and neither is any other.it has however stood the test of time remarkably.its alsonot the cheapest nor should it be. but if you want one worth keeping you just found it, or maybe you would rather have that "all original restored tribute"..... hmmmm... this is not a distress or fire sale I just don't have the time anymore to enjoy this as much [or at all] as I thought I would. if you are new to ebayor haveless than 10 feedbacksI insist that you contact me before you bid or I will cancel your bid.sorry but there are to many that screw it up for everyone else.shipping is up to the buyer and should it sell I will ask for an immediate$250 deposit via paypal, the rest will be due in 7 days and the car will not leave until funds have cleared NO EXCEPTIONS.also your inspection and questionss welcome are and encouraged while the auction is running NOT when its over,i don't want any surprises on your end or mine so ask if there is something you need clarified.car is titled in my name and is clear.I work overnights so if I don't answer leave a message and I will get back to you asap.AGAIN PLEASE CALL ME TO DISCUSS THE CAR BEFORE YOU BID!!!!! thanks!!!
