Description of 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Bel Air |
WOW!!!DON'T MISS THIS ONE,SURVIVOR CONVERTIBLE Thisincrediblysolid 57 Bel Air Convertible is being offered for sale from aprivate collection after being owned since 1985. The car is a solid western car that was last restored in 1974. The prior owner stated that the car was originally a fuelie car and had the fuel injection taken off and was offered to the current owner at the time he bought it, however back in 1974, who wanted to pay more for that stuff??? So the current owner chose not to pay extra for the fuel injection. Theoriginal 283 is included with the sale of the car along with thepowerglide transmission that was taken out in 2017 when a brand new 350/350 combo was installed and has less than 500 miles since then.A list of all of the motor build specs is available and pictures are included. The car retains it's Lacquer paint from 1974 that shows how solid this car is verse something that has new paint and you don't know what is hiddenunderneath. The interior has stood the test of time and looks amazing. Thepower top works great and the convertible top is in good usable condition. The car runs and drives great and will notdisappoint.Below is a list of just some of the specs on the current drivetrain:
The pictures of the car will show you what a great survivor it is and with it's history could be a veryhigh end restoration or drive as is as a survivor and enjoy it. Either way it is a great investment on a rare car. The drivers side front fender is also starting to show the holes for the fuel injection emblem that were once covered up back in 1974, even more evidence of this cars history. The paint has the common lacquer checking that happens over years such as this but also shows the originality of a 45 year old paint job. The drivers side door glass is cracked but is flat glass and not expensive. There is some delamination on some of the glass but again a very inexpensive fix. The chrome is in goodcondition. The ONLY spot that needs to be mentioned is about a 2 inch spot of the very bottom of the drivers side fender that has a very small crack from some surface rust only. The rest of the car is super solid and no rust to be noted as seen! (even on a lift!). This is a driver/survivor that can be driven and enjoyed, restored to a high end restoration with very little needing done orjust kept for aninvestment. Feel free to ask any questions you like. You can view the car in person, or have someone view it for you, PRIOR tobidding and by appointment, as your opinion could vary. We can help arrange shipping anywhere in the US. Overseas buyers are welcome. On Aug-31-19 at 13:26:35 PDT, seller added the following information:BONUS... the top is only about 3 years old! Also included with the sale are the original fender skirts and spinner hub caps.Good Luck! Someone will get an awesome and solid survivor! |
