Description of 1982 Chevrolet Suburban Silverado |
For a serious buyer, I may be willing to meet you partial distance with it. I am also right next to Detroit Metro Airport if that is helpful. Now onto the vehicle! Here is a very clean, rust free, solid, mechanically sound example of a C10 Squarebody Suburban in Silverado Trim equipped with the 'Trailering Special' package, front and rear A.C., power windows/locks, rear tailgate, third row bench seat, and 700r4 auto overdrive transmission. Spent most of its life in Arizona but is in Detroit currently. I have made that 2000 mile trip 7 times as well as taken it to other areas of the country. Makes a great family, travel, and tow vehicle. 40 gallon fuel tank and 15mpg at 70 in its current configuration. Replacement and upgraded parts over the last five years include: Custom Multi-stage BC/CC paint job (pictures don't do it justice, it gets a lot of attention). It has C20 suspension all around with another leaf in the rear and sway bars front and rear, along with Rancho 9000xl adjustable shocks front and rear as well. Slotted rotors and towing pads up front with Bendix brake lines. Bendix towing shoes, springs, wheel cylinder, brake line, for the drums in rear. Moog pitman arm and tie rods, rebuilt steering box, carrier bearing, u-joints. Richmond 3.42 gears with Detroit Truetrac limited slip rear differential. External trans/engine oil coolers with new Fail-Safe thermostat, aluminum high-flow water pump, and 7qt. deep aluminum finned transmission pan. VIAIR onboard air compressor with 2.5gallon tank for air horns, air tools and tire inflation. New door pins and weatherstripping. ACDelco door lock actuators and window motors. 440w power inverter in place of the ash tray. Fuse blocks for accessories and a 2-Way Viper alarm with locks. Custom made easy clean seat covers. Sound and temp ceramic coating all along the interior paint with mats in the roof, doors, and floor. 15x10 Eagle Alloy wheels rated for 2500lbs each, Goodyear MTR Kevlar 33x12.50 tire. CURT class IV towing receiver with 4/7 pin connectors. Grant 10.5inch steering wheel (sort of odd at first, but the steering feedback is great and adds a lot of interior room). New Charcoal colored mass-backing carpet kit with rubber floor mats. Custom storage bin in the rear along with side panels and matching headliner. Rust proof coating added to frame and underbody. Dual exhaust with H-pipe, cats, muffler delete all exiting out the side. All other parts have been inspected and in proper working order. New fluids throughout as well. Above is a relatively large list, but the vehicle itself is relatively stock still - no major modifications other than the paint job really. This vehicle has been with the family since 1996. I have maintained it properly over the years and every part I replaced with quality brand name parts - quality over cost. Never planned on selling it, so my receipt list isn't complete, but I gathered what I could. In 1998 the bottom end of the engine received $2800 dollars in machining and forged components for reliability purposes - my father has that information. It comes up with all my extra stuff: sun visors, original steering wheel, PA Box, switches, wires, cables, lights, exterior and interior trim, distributor, dash mat, etc. There are some things that could be fixed,Original gauges are mostly non-functionalWindows are temperamentalTailgate window is slow but worksNo radio but wires and two speakers are hooked upA.C. needs chargedNo Seat Belts bolted in, but 2 partial vehicle sets with bolts are included to be gone through I have included a decent amount of information, but it you want more or specific pictures, feel free to contact me |
