In 2009 the car was removed from a long storage, in a chicken coop, in Hemet California. The car was complete and in very original, unmolested, but weathered condition.The car was frame off restored. Everything on the car, engine, gauges, radio, brake system, rear... end was rebuilt. A new, Al Knoch, beige interior was installed. The original chrome was rechromed and the stainless was polished.A 4 speed transmission was installed as Chevrolet only offered a 3 speed in 1956.The restoration was completed a little over 2 years ago and this 56 is simply stunning.
