Matching Numbers 1969 Corvette Stingray Convertible, 4 speed manual transmission. VIN: 194679S735964Manufactured on November 19, 1969 Rare/collector desired color combo; correct color 980 Riverside Gol, 420 Saddle interior with white top. The one of 4,355 Factory Side Mount Exhaust option makes this car very special as this is a "one year only optionâ€, With the exception of the 1969 model year, all others 1968 to 1982 Corvettes C3equippedwith side pipes are made with aftermarket or 1969 added parts. This car was also equipped from the factory with AC Astroventilation System . No modifications at all, new white top + top-frame restoration, everything works except for the clock, the factory FM radio works perfectly, the interior has been meticulously restored so it looks pretty much as the day it left the factory, anything that could be seen or touched has been preserved, resurfaced or replaced, interior restoration included: new carpet, new door panels+door seals, new door sills, new shifter, new turn signal lever, etc.. No dust on cluster/ gauge, cluster/gauges plastic lenses are completely clear and scratchless, dash illumination is bright and complete, all the optic fiber lines/lights works. The chassis remains UNRESTORED (NO REPAIRS/NO UNDERCOATING /NO THICK PAINT), however, all the chassis surface has been treated for superficial rust and all the undercarriage is painted in black. I don't have the full history of the car, however after an inspection underneath is obviousthat no accidents haveoccurred, all the factory bonding strips are in place, no repairs or added material are present on any of the panels. No manipulated pictures here, however, picturesdoesn'treflects the actual conditions of the finish,no dents but some faded, peeled and cracked areas are noticeable, low shine/gloss, THIS CAR NEEDS A PAINT JOB TO MAKE IT PERFECT, on the other hand, interior is over average, very very clean/ 9,5 out of 10, personally I never saw (live) any other C3 in this interior conditions. The car runs very well, engine starts at every time, no overheating, shifting is smooth, clutch is precise/no vibration, new shocks, new engine/ transmission mounts, new suspension bushings. The matching numbers 350CID/300HP engine is completely stock, has new correct valve covers, new correct carburetor, new correct air filter housing, new correct fuel lines. Distributor needs to be replaced in order to make work the tachometer (factory cable doesn'tfit on new distributor). All factory AC components are in place and unmodified, same for all the complex vacuum line: is all complete and unmodified, however, the pop up lights opens and closes slowly, the wiper door is not working due to a faulty 34.99$ windshield control valve. You can enjoy this awesome car forever as i, or you can turn it into a Show room condition car with a frame off restoration and a new body paint job. Get a piece of history with this (yet) affordable collectible; in the 60's GM and NASA got together to develop the Lunar vehicle, so in 1969 GM prepared three special Riverside Gold Corvettes for the Apollo 12 Astronauts, all the available technology was present in this model year Corvette to match and promote the American dream to be the first country to put a man on the moon. 1968-1969/chrome bumper Corvettes C3 values are consistently rising, don't be too late!!! |
