Description of 1967 Chevrolet G10 Van |
NO RESERVE, NO BUY IT NOW, JUST BID LIKE YOU WANT IT! PLEASE DON'T MAKE ME A LOSER ON THIS ONE! 230ci inline 6, three on the tree, short wheelbase van. Sweet crusty old van I bought to use as a promotional tool for my business. Show up to the car show with a vintage motorcycle in the back and you'll be the man. Interior is a blank slate; just metal no ratty old upholstery to have to remove. The undercarriage is as solid as can be. Seriously, the body structure on a 10 year old pick up is in worse shape. There are obviously lots of spots in the lower body where debris collected and it rusted out, as well as spots in the corners/seams of the floor where the same thing happened. The floor is still as strong as ever and ready to haul anything. It's a running and driving project. All lights just rewired and work great. Heater/blower work on all speeds. You can jump in and drive it daily. *Replaced rear light sockets and put LED bulbs, ran new wiring to sockets. *Wipers work 60% of the time, everytime. Speedometer even less so. Gas gauge and warning lights work great though! *Replaced original fuse box with new universal one mounted on bottom of dash. All accessories have a nice clean connection to power now and are easily identified. *Windshield and seal are brand new. *Engine runs great and has new points, condenser, coil, spark plugs and wires. Also brand new alternator, drive belt and voltage regulator with new connections as well. Oil and coolant replaced also. *New inline electric fuel pump, new Weber 38/38 DGES carburetor (electric choke), air cleaner and mounting adaptor. *New brake master cylinder, all 4 wheel cylinders, all flex hoses and rear hard lines are new as well. Front and rear shoes and hardware are new; all four drums were machined. *Front end has new leaf spring shackles/bushings, new tie rod ends and new kingpins/bushings (Moog problem solvers). *New gas tank, straps and sending unit. It's the larger tank from a 68 and later model, so the crossmember was relocated a few inches forward to make it fit like factory. * All doors open and close smoothly, windows work. Weatherstripping is original/non-existent and pretty much all needs replaced. *There is a pop up trailer vent in the rear of the roof so you can get gas fumes out if hauling a motorcycle/equipment. *New CR Laurence 17x17 sunroof in the front. *Has two brand new Smittybilt seats made for a Jeep CJ7. *Brand new American Racing Torq Thrust D wheels with Cooper Cobra tires. Staggered sizes, 15x7 front with 235 width tires, 15x8 rear with 255 wide tires. It's a cool project that all the major/hard work has been done. I'm getting increasingly busy lately and haven't really had a need for the van, so it should go where it'll be appreciated. |
