Description of 1972 Chevrolet Blazer K5 |
Barn Find 1972 Hugger Orange CST K5 Blazer with a ton of aftermarket, period correct accessories from Hickey Enterprises or GO RHINO. Easy Shipping. We can assist with finding an affordable transporter, no matter your location. This 1972 K5 CST Blazer was just discovered after being off the road and stored for over 20 year. It has all of the right options, AC, CST, 350 V8 / Auto Trans, etc. It would clean up nice and make a great solid start for a cool build! Highlights: Rare Hugger Orange (Originally before respray) AC Truck Rare Factory Cheyenne / CST Blazer Single Wall Top Very Solid AZ Truck Front Axle Truss with skid plate Dual Front Shock Mounts & Shocks Dual Front Steering Stablizer Rear Axle Truss with skid plate Gas Tank Skid Plate Front & Rear Steel Offroad Bumpers Exterior: The truck is in very good overall condition. The previous owner did a decent respray years ago, but the truck was originally Hugger Orange. The rare Single Wall top is in excellent shape. The rear hatch and hinges are also in very good shape. The truck has spent its life in AZ and is very solid. There are a couple of areas that will need rust repair, like the rockers. Interior: The truck has two Recaro-type bucket seats in the front and no rear seat. I could help with some seats, if you want to go back to original. There is a very nice full roll cage in the front compartment, as well as some additional supports in the rear cargo area to help stiffing up the truck. These could easily be removed to bring back to factory, or it would be a great start to tie into to make a "Family" style roll cage. The factory radio was "upgraded" to a cassette deck at some point, but the dash was not cut. The Single Wall top is in excellent condition. There is no sag and the factory interior light and plug look like new. The floors and cargo are are both very solid. Mechanical: The engine was upgraded and rebuilt prior to the truck being put in storage. The motor is beleived to be a L98 5.7 350 Tuned-port Injected "TPI" that was converted to run a carb with a Holley intake and Edlebrock carb. We just did a tune up and oil change and the motor runs and sounds great. We also serviced the transmission (Filter & Fluid) and flushed the brake fluid and coolant. The truck has a number of really cool, period correct aftermarket offroad parts. They are beleived to be either Hickey Enterprises or GO Rhino parts. Here is a list of the parts: Front Axle Truss with skid plate Dual Front Shock Mounts & Shocks Dual Front Steering Stablizer Rear Axle Truss with skid plate Gas Tank Skid Plate Front & Rear Steel Offroad Bumpers VIN Decoded: CKE182F174798 C: Chevrolet K: 4wd Conv.
