This started as a 1966 Impala SS big block project, that never got off the ground. Both cars are without engine, transmission and driveshaft. Both are two door hardtops that were originally yellow with a black interior. Both cars came with a 396 big block, the SS had a TH 400 while the non-SS car had a power glide. The SS car has a very complete, bucket seat, console interior that would great after restoration. The non-SS car has a front bench seat and rearseats. Both cars have clear Texas titles in my name and are located in a warehouse in Ft. Worth, TX. The SS car came out of Arkansas and then to one of the Carolinas where I bought it out of an estate. The non-SS was assembled in California and I bought it from an individual in Kansas. In my opinion the non-SS car is more solid with less rust damage and was bought to be a donor car for the SS. The non-SS car has minor rust in the rear quarters and minor rust in the front fenders. I have not done a really thorough review of the SS car but the rust issues on the body panels is more apparent and I have not had the chance to get it up on a lift to look over the frame and pans. The pans look good in my opinion and I have seen no rot in the frame. Both have lots of original trim pieces. I do not know any details about the rear end gears in either car. The parts are here to put together a really Impala SS project or with a little more effort, I think both cars could be restored and remember they both have clear titles. I have recently put a set of 15" Goodyear eagle GT tires on a set of Chevy rally wheels. The tires are probably six or seven years old but have never been driven on. They have always been on a car in an enclosed garage. Those tires and wheels are currently on the non-SS car. I have a similar set of 14" tires (not sure of the brand) that I will put on 14" wheels and put on the SS car. I have done this to make sure they are easy to roll around and to put on a trailer. I have at least one extra hood, possibly a second and an extra rear deck lid. I have a set of taillights and some extra trim pieces that will go with the package. You will be responsible for loading and transporting the cars and parts. NOT PART OF THIS BID PACKAGE, but available for separatepurchase is a rebuilt 4 bolt main 427, a rebuilt 700 R automatic transmission and the rare optional gauge package that goes between the console and the bottom of the dash.
