Description of 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS |
If you are looking for a Barrett Jackson car this isn't it. If you are looking for a first year classic that could be a daily driver, you found it. Actually it would not take much to turn it into a Barrett Jackson high 5 figure car. This car was originally a 327 2 barrel. It has been upgraded to a Holley 4 barrel with new intake and headers andfinished off with a set of Flowmasters. Sounds awesome!! (Allthe original parts are included and in the trunk). The engine was rebuilt in 2014 with a 3/4 cam and the 2 speed Powerglide has been redone and a manual shiftkit installed to help get the power to theground. Front brakes have been converted to disc for safety. The hood has been upgraded to an SS model withthe scoops. The paint is original enamel color,Granada Gold and my guess was repainted 15-20 years ago. The car has some places that need touching upand someone had a local store blend some paint and they messed the color up royally. The few spots that weretouched up will easily rub off and you can get someone who knows what they are doing to mix the right color. The floor mats, trunk liner( I think), and interior is original. (Carpet might be replacement) No cracks or tears indash orseats. Even the radio works. (Speaker needsnew magnet). The hub cap center posts are from a period Corvette and look awesome. The 2 piece rear mainseal leaks a couple of drops now and then butthat is pretty normal. There is a little surface rust under the trunk mat but some WD-40 stopped that in its tracks. This might be the most documented classic car on the planet.
