Description of 1986 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe |
1986 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe Myron E. Scott went to work for Chevrolet in 1937, as an assistant director for the Public Relations department, where he was responsible for photography of new cars, designing of press kits, graphics, and special events. He was also known for being the creator of the All-American Soap Box Derby. After winning a contest with 300 submissions, Myron thought the name Corvette rolled off the tongue well and thought a tie to the fast strike ships called "Corvettes" from World War II would appeal to the American men, many who had served. This would go on to form the foundation for the nautical names that would be applied to Corvettes and concepts such as the Mako Shark and Sting Ray (later to be used as Stingray). For Consignment we offer a 1986 version of the America's sports car. A 350ci V8 engine, and a very nicely preserved two-tone gray paint, performance handling, and an improved fuel injection system are just a few of the upgrades included for this year. Exterior Interior Drivetrain Undercarriage Drive-Ability Overall a clean Corvette all around. A 350ci engine which runs well and starts quickly. Nice 2 tone gray paint, missing the targa roof. All correct badging, and cloth interior.
