MAY BE LOWEST MILEAGE EXAMPLE #138 VIN 1967 SS L34 CHEVELLE IN THE WORLD! ACCORDING TO RECORDS, THE L78 ENGINE OPTION WAS DISCONTINUED FOR MOST OF THE 1967 PRODUCTION YEAR WHICH BEGANIN AUGUST OF 1966 RUNNING THROUGH JULY OF 1967. IT IS SAID THAT IT WAS NOT UNTIL MAY 1967 THAT THE L78 WAS RE-INSTATED FOR PRODUCTION.WITH THAT SAID, WHEN THIS CAR WAS ORDERED AND BUILT BY GM THE L34 IT WAS BORN WITH WOULD HAVE BEEN THE MOST POWERFULENGINE PACKAGE AVAILABLE FOR THE HIGH PERFORMANCEENTHUSIASTAT THAT TIME. CONSIDERING THIS CAR WAS ORDERED WITH THE L34 ENGINE, J52 DUAL PISTONS DISC BRAKES, POSI AXLE, 4-SPEED MANUAL TRANS, ETC IT IS CLEAR THIS CAR WAS ORDERED FOR SERIOUS PERFORMANCE, THUS MAKING IT A RARE SPECIAL CAR. ALSO THE BUCKET SEATS, CONSOLE,TURQUOISECOLOREDINTERIORWITHDELUXESEAT BELTS, AND BLACK VINYL TOP MAKE IT UNIQUE WHEN PAIRED WITH THE HIGH PERFORMANCE DRIVE LINE OPTIONS JUST MENTIONED. THE ULTRA LOWDOCUMENTED ACTUAL MILEAGE (NOT EXEMPT MILEAGE) IS THE CHERRY ON TOP, MAKING THIS CAR A ONCE IN A LIFE TIME FIND FOR A CHEVELLE COLLECTOR--IN MY OPINION. A FAMILYMEMBER OF MINE KEEPS PROMPTING ME TO TAKE THIS CAR TO BARRETT JACKSON INJANUARY WITH THE SPECIAL OPTIONS, ULTRA LOW ACTUAL MILEAGE, AND THE ORIGINAL BUILD-SHEETS. HE THINKS THAT THE CAR WOULD BRING AS HE CALLS IT "STUPID MONEY" WITH GOOD SATURDAY NUMBER. HOWEVER, I DO NOT WANT TO TAKE THE CAR ALL THE WAY TO ARIZONA TO SELL IT. BUILDSHEET: Upper right of the buildheet is box 1-5. Box 1 and 2 is for transmission "4" for 4-speed Munice and "F" for floor shift. Box 3 is B for bucket seat, Box 4 is for engine "8" for V8 and Box 5 is "S" for 396 L34 (highest horsepower engine that could be ordered for April 67 built Chevelle). Note: L78 375hp solid lifter engine was not available in 1967 Chevelle until end of production year in 1967. (Not available for a August 66 - April of 67 built SS 396 Chevelle). OTHER INFORMATION:To the best of my knowledge I know of two prior private titled owners from the information I was given. The last titled owner before me acquired it 7/22/85 according to the title-- just over 34 years ago. Mileage on title in 1985 was 30,000. Mileage now is 30,196. So, only driven 196 miles in around 35 years (less than 200 miles). It was obviously bought and put up. Its a pretty special car to be born SS with the rare J52 dual piston front brake option, the highest horsepower motor that could be ordered at that time, posi axle, and 4-speed Muncie. Also, to have Turquoise interior vs plain black and the black top is desirable for the car to a collector. Then there is the low documented mileage and it appears the seat covers, dash/cluster/headliner etc are all original in good condition. Dome light works, fuel gauge works, odometer work and speedometer works. Horn works. Dual piston disc brakes work well, Munice shifts nicely. I just drove this car home from the shop on 10/24/19 and around town. Oil pressure at idle is around 50psi and coolant temp after driving for a 1/2 hour or stays nice and cool. Tach works as does the coolant gauge, oil pressure gauge and amp gauge. SERIOUSBUYERSONLY. DO NOT CONTACT ME UNLESS YOU HAVE A SINCERE INTEREST TO BUY THIS CAR AND THE WILLINGNESS AND ABILITY TO PAY FOR IT. I HAVE LITTLE PATIENCE FOR PEOPLE WHO CONTACT ME AND ASK A LOT OF QUESTIONS AND WASTE MY TIME WHO ARE NOT SINCERE BUYERS. I HAVE EVEN LESS PATIENCE FOR THOSE WHO CONTACT ONLY FOR ENTERTAINMENT VALUE TO ASK QUESTIONS AND DEBATE THE LEVEL OF "ORIGINALITY" OF THE CAR IN A PRIDEFUL AND ARROGANT MANNER TRYING TO SHOW ME HOW MUCH OF A SO CALLED CHEVELLE EXPERT OR AUTHORITY THEY ARE WITH NO REAL INTENTION OF BUYING. DISCLOSURE STATEMENT:I AM REQUIRED BY THE STATE OF INDIANA TO COLLECT SALES TAX IF YOU ARE AN INDIANA RESIDENT AND NOT A LICENSEDCAR DEALER. IF YOU ARE AN OUT OF STATE RESIDENT OF INDIANA I MUST ARRANGE FOR THE DELIVERY AND TRANSPORT OF THE VEHICLE TO YOUR STATE IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO PAY INDIANA SALES TAX. CONTACT ME WITH ANY SALES TAX QUESTIONS. WHILE THIS CAR IS A DOCUMENTED LOW MILEAGE AUTHENTIC BIG BLOCK SS 396 L34 CHEVELLE WITH MANY ORIGINALAPPEARING ATTRIBUTES, I DO NOT GURANTEE ANY PARTS, OPTIONS, OR FEATURES OF THIS CAR TO BE "ORIGINAL" OR "BORN TO THE CAR". I AM NOT THE ORIGINALOWNER OF THE CAR AND THE CAR IS MORE THAN 50 YEARS OLD IN AGE. IN REALITY, THERE ARE NO CARS THIS AGE IN ANY SORT OF PRESENTABLE DECENT CONDITION THAT HAVE RETAINED ALL OF THEIR BORN ORIGINALPARTS OVER THE DECADES. PARTS WORE OUT, BROKE, WERE RECONDITIONED AND OR SWAPPED OUT FOR VARIOUS REASONS WITH PARTS FROM OTHER CARS OF A LIKE KIND AND/OR OR REPRODUCTION /RESTORATION OR AFTERMARKET PARTS ON THESE OLD CARS OVER THE YEARS. HOWEVER, FROM MY OWN PERSONAL ASSESSMENTIT IS MY OWN PERSONAL OPINION THIS CAR IS HAS BEEN PRESERVED AND IS MORE CORRECT THAN MANY/MOST 1967 SS 396 CHEVELLES YOU WILL EVER FIND AND HAS SOME VERY RARE AND SPECIAL OPTIONS THAT WERE BORN OPTIONS TO THIS CAR AS THE BUILDSHEETS SUBSTANTIATE--SUCH AS THE J52 DUAL PISTON FRONT BRAKE OPTION WITH THE UPGRADED L34 HIGHER HORSEPOWER ENGINE WITH HOLLEY CARB VS QUADRAJET. I ALSO SUSPECT THIS 1967 SS L34 CHEVELLE IS LIKELY ONE OF THE LOWEST(IF NOT LOWEST) MILEAGE EXAMPLES REMAINING IN THE WORLD! THIS CAR IS AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION BEFORE PURCHASE IN NE INDIANA. I INVITE YOU TO COME MAKE YOUR OWNASSESSMENT. MILEAGE IS PRESENTLY 30,196. MILEAGE MAY BE SLIGHTLY HIGHER UPON SALE OF THE VEHICLE IF I CHOOSE TO DRIVE IT SOME BETWEEN NOW AND THE SALE DATE. THIS CAR IS BEING SOLD WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. |
