This 1987 Chevrolet IROC-Z 20TH Anniversary Edition convertible was very rare when it was new! This car has only 18,000 miles with a clean car fax!. This is just one of 744 produced for the world in 1987 and very few came with FIVE speed manual transmissions, most were automatics. Chevrolet’s 1987 Camaro was visually quite similar to the year before, but the new rendition brought with it several mechanical revisions and, halfway through production, a convertible model not seen since 1969. Unlike 1969, when Camaro Convertibles were built on the same assembly lines as Coupes, the 1987 versions were built as RPO CC1 “T-Top†Coupes, then converted by ASC International of Detroit, Michigan. The Convertible option was available on both standard and Z28 models, the latter of which came equipped with the 305/195 HP small block V-8 as standard equipment. The IROC-Z 20th Anniversary Edition Convertible offered here is virtually brand new, showing just over 18,000 actual miles on the odometer and looking very fresh throughout. The IROC package was comprehensive, offering power steering and disc brakes, larger 16-inch aluminum wheels, an “aero†body package, beefed-up suspension, stowaway spare, halogen fog lights and extra trim. With the 305 CI V-8 215HP under the hood that is mated to a FIVE speed manual transmission that really pushes this IROC-Z down the road . This example is also equipped with air conditioning, central locking, power windows, cruise control, tinted glass, custom power seats and an AM/FM stereo with cassette player and equalizer. That’s a lot of gear in one of the era’s top performers! Call 314-594-1404 to purchase or with any other questions 314-594-1404
