Description of 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 -- |
Outstanding workmanship and thorough attention to detail have transformed this 1957 Chevrolet 210 into a real stunner. In addition to its outstanding presence, this classic features a strong drivetrain that lends itself perfectly to worry free cruising, while still putting plenty of power at your disposal. The stringent attention to detail that went into this restoration is evident and it certainly pays dividends in the form of stellar curb appeal. The white paint draped over the exterior of this '57 is stare inducing. With so many of its counterparts wearing two tone color schemes - which is certainly a great look as well - it's nice to see a departure as thoroughly well-executed as this one. The paint itself is in fine shape, with a deep shine and an overall condition that easily holds up under close inspection. There's plenty more to like that's on display - including an assembly of chrome that's in consistently fine shape and a precise overall exterior alignment, with even gaps surrounding the doors, hood and deck lid. All of which lies over a solid steel foundation that shows no waviness or other signs of infirmity. If you were told that the black and white leather interior was installed immediately before the car made its way to our facility, you'd buy it with no hesitation. The Chevys of the mid-'50s are no strangers to customization and we see our fair share of skilled handiwork, but there are very few vintage interiors of any kind that can compare to this one - take a look around inside the doors and you won't find any visible signs of wear on any of the components. The two rows of black and white leather split bench seats are absolutely pristine and both the well-fitted headliner above them and the carpet lining the floor appear new, too. A vintage-design steering wheel is perched on the chrome tilting column and each of the factory gauges in front of it are in good working order and are surrounded by the smooth black steel of the dash. The added underdash air conditioning system is in top form to keep things comfortable inside the cabin year-round and an AM/FM/Cassette stereo is on board to tend to your audio needs. The engine compartment on this Chevy must be seen to be fully appreciated. A 350 cubic inch crate V8 sits at the center, dressed in a full array of top tier chrome components and framed by a clean white firewall and contrasting black inner fenders. While chrome dress up kits are nothing new, it's not often you see one this extensive. The engine itself is running great - fed by an Edelbrock 4-barrel carb, it fires up quickly and pulls with plenty of conviction, sending a deep, focused note through the Vortec headers leading to its Flowmaster dual exhaust. Farther forward, an aluminum radiator teams with an electric fan to keep operating temperatures in check, while the aftermarket MSD ignition heats up the available spark. The accompanying 4-speed automatic 200-4r transmission shifts smoothly and offers an overdrive gear for low-RPM highway cruising and, in the interest of upping the dependability factor on this classic, new wiring is in place. Power steering makes for low-effort navigation, while power brakes that include disc brakes up front bring the set of 15" American Racing Torq Thrust wheels wrapped with Michelin tires to quick, easy stops. This 1957 Chevrolet 210 offers the chance to own a skillfully restored classic that's not only a big part of automotive folklore, but of American folklore, as well. Call today! |
