Description of 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 |
This 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 is quite special. It's a real-deal Super Sport with all the features you want in a muscle car like, big block power and four-on-the-floor. Plus, there's a fit and finish that remind you that something this intimidating can also be quite beautiful. The '67s have always looked particularly fast with their flying buttresses and beefy fender lines. But now this example also loves to show off the vintage style on a car like this. The era-correct Butternut Yellow has a gloss and shine that brings a new level of attractiveness to this coupe. It's the result of a recent professional application that looks fantastic under showroom lights and even better gleaming in the sunlight. There's also brightwork in all the right places like the mirror-like chrome bumpers, Super Sport vented faux hood, and the trim that outlines every inch of glass. The black decal stripes run full lengths of the car, and it's nicely coordinated with a black vinyl roof for added distinction. And those iconic rally wheels do a perfect job of uniting the sporty style and shining personality that's seen throughout this coupe. A black interior is the ideal color on a muscle machine. It looks particularly nice on this as it coordinates with the exterior black accents. The bucket seats look fresh and so does the carpeting, headliner, and doors and there's even a center console with a working clock. This clearly shows there was time and money spent to make sure this looks classic and fresh. And while the seats and carpeting look deep and dark, there are some nice shiny elements to brighten up the whole layout like the inserts in the dash, doors, and SS steering wheel. These Chevy's also came with plenty of extra room for family and friends. So they even upgraded the radio to a retro-style AM/FM digital tuner with aux input to keep them entertained. But the best treats are reserved just for the driver. The upgraded SunPro auxiliary gauges, column-mounted SunPro tach w/shift light, and cue ball shifter are clear indications of something special under the hood. Filling the engine bay is big block Chevy power. You'll love how the bold block, sturdy cast valve covers, and bright air topper look like they are radiating power from within the dark engine bay. In fact, the callouts are doing a bit of fibbing, because you actually have a LARGER 454 cubic-inch V8. Plus, it has great go-fast goodies like a QFT four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock polished intake, and Hooker long tube headers that feed a rumbling dual exhaust. And you have complete control over this enhanced big block and its soundtrack thanks to the four-speed manual transmission. It has also been fitted with a 12-bolt rear so you know it can handle the power. The build only has about 7,500 miles on it, and you see the freshness everywhere, including the undercarriage photos. And while you're under there, you'll spot some great features, such as the boxed trailing arms in the rear. Plus, power steering and power brakes w/discs up front are always welcomed driving features. Complete with owner's manual, if you're looking for a four-speed real-deal Chevelle SS that's been given the right investments to turn heads, call today! |
