Description of 1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS

A 1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS presented in its factory-correct full red package already has a ton of appeal. But when you can also find a numbers-matching V8 car that has a stick shift and alluring vintage style, well then, you know you've discovered a coupe for true enthusiasts.
It's great to find a first-gen Camaro done with all the right factory pieces. After all, the RS hidden headlight front end is a true icon. And the sporty style is continued on the Super Sport pieces like the front air dam, faux velocity stacks, and full-width rear spoiler. Plus, there's the bold white D91 "bumblebee" stripe up front. This one is even still wearing its correct 14-inch Rally wheels. Not many Camaros like this retain and wear their history this well. This coupe has spent over half its life with one owner. It was taken care of, and the last time it was given a respray of it factory-correct Bolero Red was about halfway through its life. It gives this coupe an old-school kind of attitude that seems to be lost today. So while there's room in this budget price to do restoration work, we already like this one for its personality it gives off in the first impression.
The red interior has a terrific look against the red exterior, and this coupe was born this way. In fact, the full presentation is highly original, right down to the AM radio that's still cranking out tunes. Within the classic style, this remains a terrific driver's machine. That's why you have the three-spoke SS steering wheel, floor shifter, and the deeply recessed gauges. Classic motoring doesn't get any better than rolling down all the windows for the full pillarless hardtop profile (remember they were able to eliminate the vent windows in '68.)

Under the hood is the numbers-matching 350 cubic-inch V8. The bold orange on the block, valve covers, and intake have a nice stock look. But there have also been room for the right improvements. Under the polished air topper is a recently rebuilt four-barrel carburetor. And headers let this V8 exhale freely into the dual exhaust. This is the kind of classic that's meant to keep you in touch with the road, right down to the control of the three-speed manual transmission.

We love the RS/SS coupes, and this one has extra personality and a terrific price. So you know it's a package that will be moving fast. Call today!!!
