Description of 1963 Chevrolet Impala -- |
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this built 1963 Chevrolet Impala for your consideration. This custom-built performance car is powered by a massive 655Ci V8 motor that features dual carburetors. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a reverse pattern T400 transmission. The T400 transmission is a favorite among drag racers across the country for its performance and durability. This car has a triple pass aluminum radiator, Dart aluminum block, MSD ignition system, Moroso crank trigger, Callies Magnum Plus crankshaft, Crane solid roller cam, fully CNC ported engine and many other upgrades. Paired with the T400 transmission is an FTI anti-balloon torque converter and an Earl 19-row transmission cooler. Upon first glance, everyone will notice the massive blower sticking out of the hood. Mooneyham Blowers produced the plower for this Impala. One final upgrade that can be found under the hood of this mechanical beast is dual 4-bbl Holley carburetors. The exhaust is routed out the rear of the car through a 3'' stainless steel Flowmaster exhaust with Moroso mufflers. Since this Impala has the capabilities of rocker-like speed, it also has dual-master cylinder Willwood disc brakes in the front and rear to bring it back to a stop. To put all of the power down the rear Hoosier tires are paired with Strange beadlock drag racing wheels in the rear. Externally, this Impala has a commanding presence sporting a beautiful two-tone orange and black paint job. If you look closely, you can even see a green painted stripe that defines the border between the orange and black. Complementing the paint are various chrome pieces throughout the exterior and a machined aluminum rear decklid. The interior has been refinished with an interior from Classic Industries. Also featured inside the car are various custom gauges, located under the dash, to monitor the health and performance of the engine. Shifting gears is a Hurst quarter stick that complements the drag appearance of this impala well. The Impala here has been built extremely well and is said to produce upwards of 1200 horsepower. This car is sure to make its next owner proud, whether it be winning at the drag strip or taking home trophies at car shows.
