Description of 1964 Chevrolet Nova Chevy II |
When you want a survivor-style classic for a value price, this 1964 Chevrolet Nova Chevy II is just the ticket. Daytona Blue is a deep color that looks good in modern times. Of course, this one not only carries its factory-correct color, but also we suspect it's the factory original application. So while there's plenty of money left in this one to budget a respray, there's just something unmistakably cool about originality that has earned its personality over the decades. Especially since this is a real-deal premium Nova-level sedan. And because this car is so complete, it even retains the badging and full-length trim that makes these unique. So while the robust Nova platform and the original style makes this an ideal candidate for a rat rod upgrade, we also just like this one for being a nice survivor. The Nova might have been one of Chevrolet's smaller offerings in the '60s, but today that still means room for plenty of family and friends. Items like the carpeting and upholstery look like they have received some nice investments over the years, but nothing takes away from the original-style feeling. They even left the original AM radio on display (you have an AM/FM/cassette radio mounted below it to give you upgraded driving tunes.) It's an attractive sea of blue inside, and even the dash and classic steering wheel match the deep blue of the exterior. So it's a well-done vintage total package. Chevrolet's 194 cubic-inch inline six is a great motor. It carries on the tradition of the hardy Blue Flame motors, but now in an updated version that was lighter, more powerful, and was advanced enough to be Chevy's backbone for a generation. So it's great to have what's believed to be the original motor still in the engine bay. The six cylinder fires right up like a good workhorse should, and it can pull around the little sedan with ease. And the easy cruising attitude is heightened further by the Powerglide automatic transmission. Survivor-grade honesty in a complete and vintage package is a rare sight. So if you love a car that has earned its revered status, don't miss this Nova. Call today!!! |
