1958 CHEVROLET NOMAD WAGON. 283 3 spd w/ OVERDRIVE. BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE FROM ELDERLY COUPLE WHO OWNED A GARAGE / GAS STATION. IT WAS CLOSED DOWN BUT CAR WAS STILL INSIDE. 55000. Original miles. ALL ORIGINAL DRIVETRAIN. VERY NEAT RIDE. I WAS GIVEN THE ORIGINAL BILL OF SALE TOO. MECHANICAL: 283 POWER PACK. ALL OF ENGINE COMPARTMENT WAS ORIGINAL. ALL WE DID WAS CLEAN IT. AND REPLACE A COUPLE HOSE CONNECTIONS. ETC. I THOUGHT ABOUT DETAILING IT. BUT I KIND OF LIKED THE ORIGINALITY OF WHAT WE FOUND. ENGINE AND TRANS RUNS GOOD. NO SMOKING OR ANYTHING. BODY. STRAIGHT. SCARY STRAIGHT. I STARTED WITH A QUART OF FILLER. I STILL HAVE HALF OF IT AND WHAT I DID USE. MOST WAS SANDED OFF. ALL THE TRIM AND CHROME IS ORIGINAL. EVEN ALL THE EMBLEMS. DOOR HANDLES. EVERYTHING. I DID BREAK THE STUD OFF THE TOP FENDER ORNAMENT. SO I DID HAVE TO REPLACE THAT. OVERALL A 8 out of 10. THERE IS REPAIR METAL IN REAR ROCKER AREA. CHASSIS. ORIGINAL. I INSTALLED AN AIR RIDE SYSTEM. BUT NOTHING WAS CUT OR ALTERED. ANYBODY WITH A NORMAL SET OF TOOLS CAN PUT THE SPRINGS BACK IN IN AN HOUR OR TWO. THE FLOORBOARDS ARE ORIGINAL AND SOLID. NO PATCHING. SURFACE RUST AS WITH ANY 56 YEAR OLD CAR. BUT ITS WAY BETTER THAN YOUD EXPECT. BRAKES. ORIGINAL DRUM BRAKESGLASS. ALL ORIGINAL. EVEN WINDSHIELD. A FEW SMALL PITS IN WINDSHIELD BUT NOT IN LINE OF SIGHT OR OBNOXIOUS. INTERIOR. ORIGINAL. YEP DOOR PANELS. SEATS. HEADLINER. REAR DECK AREA. ORIGINAL AND FOR 56 years old. ITS NICE. PAINT. OBVIOUSLY. NOT ORIGINAL. I PAINTED THE CAR. I USE ALL PPG PRODUCTS. ITS SINGLE STAGE. WET SANDED FOR THE PROPER SHEEN. NOT THAT FAKE LOOKING CLEAR COAT THAT DOESNT BELONG ON OLD CARS IN MY OPINION. FUNCTIONS. ALL LIGHTS. BLINKERS. HORN WORK. ORIGINAL RADIO HUMS BUT NO DICE ON RECEPTION. BY THE WAY. THE ORIGINAL WIRING IS ALL THERE. FUSE BLOCK. ETC. NO HILLBILLY WIRING DONE OVER THE YEARS. ALL WINDOWS GO UP AND DOWN. TIRES. WHEELS. NEW. TORQ THRUST 18". WITH NEW RADIALS. EXHAUST. NOT REPLACED AND FRANKLY IT NEEDS IT. IT WORKS. BUT REALLY. IT NEEDS NEW. AIR RIDE SYSTEM. NEW. CUSTOM MADE FOR X FRAME CHEVROLETS. NICE CONTROL CONSOLE FOR IT UNDER DASH. LOWERS THE CAR TO NEAR THE GROUND IF THAT DOES IT FOR YOU. OR RAISE IT TO WHEREVER YOU WANT. ITS A NICE SYSTEM. OVERALL. JUST A REALLY COOL AND RARE RIDE THAT CAN EASILY BE MADE TO BE ORIGINAL. OR KEEP THE AIR RIDE AND DO THE BAD BOY ROUTINE. ITS A 56 YEAR OLD VERY WELL PRESERVED CAR. ITS NOT PERFECT. BUT WHEN I SAW IT I WANTED IT ON MY TRAILER BEFORE SOMEONE ELSE SAW IT. I INCLUDED A PICTURE OF IT WHILE WE WERE DISASSEMBLING AND BOING BODY WORK. OH BY THE WAY. ITS ORIGINALLY A RED WHITE TWO TONE CAR PER WHAT WE FOUND AND THE TRIM TAB. I REDO A CAR PER YEAR AS A HOBBY THEN SELL IT. SO THATS WHY ITS ON HERE. WITH THAT SAID. THE CAR IS CLEAR AND IN MINE AND THE WIFES NAME. ITS NOT LEAVING HERE UNTIL ITS FULLY PAID FOR. IM A CAR GUY AND WILL BEND OVER BACKWARDS TO HELP YOU. HOWEVER I HAVE A LOW TOLERANCE FOR TIRE KICKING . DREAMING. TIME WASTERS. DONT BE THAT GUY. THE RESERVE IS FAIR. IM TRYING TO MAKE A PROFIT BUT IM NOT TRYING TO GO TO HAWAII ON YOU. READ MY FEEDBACK.
