The 1954 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster offered by Auto Cafe of Florida, is in perfect running condition with a new engine installed approximately 3 years ago with less than 100 miles on it. 1954 was the first full year of production and the most ideal year for collectors since all the kinks were corrected from it's soft launch year, 1953. This is a fine example of one of the 3,640 models produced that year. The early C1 Corvette is known for its sensational style, outstanding performance and its low center of gravity producing a fine-handling machine.The Corvette has a 235-cid, 155-hp Blue Flame 6 -cylinder engine, with a three 'Carter' carburettor engine and a Powerglide transmission. Like the interior red trim, the Blue Flame, engine was the one and only option available at the time. This is a very early C1 with a lovely futuristic body! The original paint is Sportsman red with red interior and a being convertible top - all in great condition! Optional AM radio is included; other equipment includes wide whitewall tires and factory wheel covers.
