To be sure you access all the photographs, please go to our main website: Garage Kept Motors.) This bright colored Corvette is an awesome package and is a great value for the money. The dollars per fun ratio is low/high. GM did not offer a bright yellow color in the color palette for the '65 model year, so running into another Daytona Yellow second generation Corvette at a car show probably won't happen. The striking lines of the second generation are accentuated with Daytona Yellow paint, which is a color not offered on the second generation Corvette. This car left the St.Louis production plant finished in 'Glen Green', but has since been restored, and was professionally repainted in 2002. Side pipes and deep dish, color matched wheels add some more attitude to the exterior of the car. A soft top finished in black is in very good condition, but we hope that the new owner is able to enjoy the car with the top down most often. The interior is very nicely restored - the finish shows that the restoration shop paid attention to details. The gauges on the dashboard are clear, the clock works, and the trim is clean and free of the typical scratches that are seen in many C2 Corvettes. Leather bucket seats show very well, and an updated radio has been installed in the dash. Under the hood is a ZZ4 Chevrolet crate engine mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. The engine features a number of high performance parts - aluminum heads, forged steel crankshaft, high silicon aluminum pistons, hydraulic roller camshaft, and a dual plane aluminum intake manifold. The engine has a nice sound at idle, and when opened up, you can tell that it has been worked on. And with 355 horsepower, it has more than enough 'oomph' to sling this Vette down the road at grin inducing speeds. The engine that is currently in the car was installed in 2001, and suspension was updated approximately 5 years ago. Take this Vette into consideration, it is a unique car thanks to the color and engine, and is a great value for the money. It's turn key, and ready to enjoy!
