Description of 1950 Chevrolet Other Pickups Advance Design 3100 |

1950 Chevrolet 3800 Advance Design Pickup Truck. Very solid truck with the rare 9 foot express bed. This is a running Barn Find truck with original paint.Contact must be made within 24 hours of your offer being accepted or it will be assumed that you have no intention of honoring the deal and the truck will be offered to others. Zero Feedback buyers must make contact prior to making an offer. This truck has a very good and original solid body with very minimal rust. The paint is original. It has a hoist (dump bed) hence why the bed sits higher. The floorboards are very good with no rust, unfortunately a square hole has been cut in the passengers side floorboard and I have no idea why this has been done but it would be very easily repaired. The cab corners are excellent with only very minor rust blisters. The front fenders have no signs of rust. The rear fenders have some rust where they would have originally been attached to the running boards before the hoist was installed. The bed has no rust. The running boards have no rust. The doors have no rust. The windshield will need replacing but otherwise the glass is good. Overall this truck is a remarkably solid basis for a restoration with far less rust to contend with compared to most examples and it has the added bonus of having original paint with zero bondo and zero bodywork ever been done to it. The interior is complete minus the seat base and ingood condition for its age. I would expect the new owner will want to do something with the seat and restore the gauges but otherwise it needs very little. Mechanically this truck is complete. The engine does start and run. A new coil and electric fuel pump has been temporarily installed to get it to run. We'll leave these installed to make life easier for the new owner for moving it in and out of the shop or around the yard while fixing it up. It actually runs very well, the clutch and transmission operate smoothly. It drives pretty well around our yard but does need brake work. The tires are all good and hold air. Overall this truck is a step above the majority of original condition Barn Finds with it having a running engine. This truck only has 48,061 original miles on it hence the remarkable condition. This will make an easy low budget project being that it runs and has a very good body with original paint. If you would like a shipping quote please message us.
