Description of 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS

I have up for sale my 69 Camaro resto mod. This car has undergone a complete and total restoration with some extremely tasteful modifications to improve performance and drivability.
This is a 69 Camaro base coupe. It started life as a small block, turbo 350 car. It's NOT a real SS car, but it does have a 124 VIN showing it as an original V8 car. This car was purchased by the previous owner as a restoration project when his wife passed away. He spent about 4-5 years bringing the car back to life and then he was diagnosed with cancer. His treatment made him sick and weak to the point where he couldn't finish the car and that's when I purchased it from him. He was a paint and body guy by profession. His job was as lead trainer at a Sherwin Williams auto paint and body training facility where this car's body was restored and painted.
The paint and body on this car are in outstanding condition. It has new quarters, floors, doors, and fenders as well as a new cowl induction hood. Countless hours were spent smoothing and straightening the body before the black paint was applied. The SS stripes are a metallic silver and are painted on and then cleared over. The body looks fantastic. At the time the car was painted, all new bumpers, trim, and weatherstripping were installed as well. This car has won multiple trophies at local car shows and cruises throughout the area. It was also recently selected to be in a 2020 Camaro and Firebird calendar. I have a copy of the calendar that will go with the car if it sells.
The best part of the car is without a doubt it's drivetrain. When I purchased the car it had a 427 from a 69 Impala installed. But the previous owner didn't want to deal with a high compression motor so he swapped out the original heads for a set of late 70's peanut port heads. They definitely choked the motor's performance. Once I got the car finished and on the road, I decided to bump up the HP. I had plans to install a set of aluminum heads and a healthier cam when a buddy told me that he knew of a machine shop that had a built 496 motor and the owner couldn't afford to pay his machine shop build so the motor was for sale. So I grabbed that motor instead.
The motor is a 72 Chevy 454 that has a 496 stroker kit. It has a forged crank, rods, and slightly domed pistons yielding a 10.5:1compression ratio along with new Clevite bearings. The cast iron heads are casting number 14096188. These heads are off the shelf LS-6 replacement rectangular port heads that were port matched to the gaskets and the Edelbrock Performer RPM intake. The cam is a Lunati Voodoo hydraulic roller part number 201107012 the advertised duration is 282/290, duration @.050 is 231/239 and gross lift is .600"/.600" with an LSA of 110. The RPM range is 2200 to 5800 RPM. The roller lifters, valve springs, and roller rockers are all by Lunati as well and are matched to the cam. This motor is a beast and the engine builder told me it should put out between 550-600HP. The induction is handled by an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake and the Holley Sniper EFI system. The car has an electric in tank fuel pump that is powered by a relay that runs through the Sniper. The Sniper system is amazing. Throttle response is incredible and the car starts at the first turn of the key. Ignition is handled by an MSD 6AL box to an MSD billet distributor. The exhaust runs through Hedman ceramic coated headers to a 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust and Spintech mufflers. It has a nice lopey Musclecar idle that sounds nasty through the mufflers. The motor was installed last winter and probably only has about 700 miles on it since install. I have tons of pics and videos that were taken throughout the install that I can provide.
All that power runs through a McCleod hydraulic clutch set up to a billet flywheel with a new McLeod clutch and into a Tremec TKO600 5 speed transmission. If you've never driven a Tremec 5 speed they shift as smooth as butter and having the 5th gear is an absolute dream once you've gotten up to about 45-50mph. You don't have to worry about cruising along with your engine screaming at you at 3000RPM. Just shift up into 5th gear and watch your RPM's drop to a much more manageable level. You can cruise this car at 55-60MPH at about 2200 RPM. There's also no worries about the rest of the drivetrain. The rear is a Currie built Ford 9" with Traction Lock and a set of 3:89 gears. It's the perfect combination for the street.
The rest of the car is as nice as the outside. The interior was completely redone with deluxe door panels, custom gauges, new carpet, and the seats were re-upholstered with the uber-desirable Houndstooth seat covers. I can't tell you how many times at a car show or cruise night people have made comments about how cool and rare the Houndstooth is. The rest of the interior consists of a Custom Autosound radio with an AUX input and a new dashpad. The wheels are 15" American Racing Torque Thrusts with BF Goodrich Radial TA tires. I'm running 15x7 wheels with 225/60/15's on the front and 15x8 wheels with 255/60/15's on the rear for that classic Musclecar look.
Some of the other notable modifications are a new Girffin aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, and a CVF serpentine belt conversion along with a 150 amp alternator and a new CVF power steering pump. The front and rear suspension were all redone. New inner and outer tie rods, control arm bushings, and multi leaf springs were added as well as a set of Cal Trac bars for traction. The car sits just right with new front coil springs and shocks all around. At the time the suspension was done, a brand new Stainless Steel disc brake conversion was done with a new power booster, master cylinder, and all new brake lines. I will also include with the sale of the car a complete in the box Classic Auto Air air conditioning conversion that includes the under the dash unit, AC lines, condenser, compressor, and all the mounting brackets needed. The car can easily be converted to AC if you choose.
I have owned this car for about 4 years and it has been outstanding. Its a done car that needs nothing but a driver. As I said previously it has won multiple trophies and awards at local car shows. I absolutely love this car and to be honest, I'm not 100% sure that I want to go through with the sale but my daughter has plans to be a veterinarian is currently looking at colleges and I have a son who is 2 years behind her. So I will have 2 kids in college over the next few years.
I have tons of pictures of the car taken over the years as well as lots of pics taken last winter when I did the motor swap. I will be more than happy to provide extra pics upon request. I can email them or text them, just message me with some contact info. I have also taken several videos over the years. I've uploaded a few to YouTube and I'll try to add the links here. If they fail to upload, feel free to ask for video links as well. I can also text some videos of the car as well as lots of pics of it over the years. Just ask.

This Camaro has a clean and clear title in my name. I know that there are a lot of scammers out there. The car and the title will NOT leave my possession until they are paid for in full and the funds have cleared my bank.
Please feel free to ask any additional questions.
