1965 Chevrolet Corvair Convertible The first Corvair concept vehicle debuted at the 1954 General Motors Autorama, six years prior to its official 1960 model year release. Corvair is the 1st and only mass-produced American vehicle offering an air-cooled rear engine design, unibody construction, factory turbocharging, and 4-wheel independent suspension. For consignment this engineering marvel was for 1965 called by Car and Driver "...undoubtedly the sexiest-looking American car of the new crop and possibly one of the most handsome cars in the world." Almost 2 million Corvairs were made during their 1960-69 run. This consignment has decent paint, some recent bodywork with spray primer, and newer white canvas convertible top with a clear plastic window on the back. The interior is original and will need a good cleaning.
