Description of 1962 Chevrolet Other

Stripped down, no frills nostalgic hot rod. Ground up restored to original specs.
EXTERIOR: Absolutely stunning fit and finish, the paint is like red glass. Laser beam straight down every panel. Everything fits square and flush. Jambs are painted slick. Really, this is a high end body and paint. I don't see any issues- no bubbling or cracking. The rims are painted to match, has poverty hubcaps and reproduction blackwall tires. New windshield. New weatherstrips and window seals. It doesn't have much but all the chrome and trim is restored or new. The grill is in excellent shape.
INTERIOR: Completely restored no frills interior. Has new correct rubber floormats, no carpet. Dash area is completely restored and detailed. The paint is like glass. Knobs, lenses, trim is like new. Has a radio delete plate. New upholstery, it's the correct red plaid. New correct Biscayne basic door panels with new armrests, window cranks and handles. Has the proper bench seat shifter with the little white ball. New glovebox liner, the light works. Has correct vintage tachometer mounted to the column. Overhead is a new correct white headliner and matching visors. New mirror and dome light. Even if you look up under the dash it is restored. The heater box, the pedals, the firewall pad all look like new. everything is restored underneath the Dash's all restored the pedals are painted the heater boxes redone the correct insulation pad is replaced overhead to White headliner visors mirror and dome light are new The red cloth welting around the door jamb is new and fits right.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The star of the show- a big 409 with a set of dual quads. Completely taken apart and restored like it just rolled off the assembly line. It is a period correct 409 with the X casting mark. Has factory dual quad aluminum intake and dual 4 barrel carbs. Correct dual snorkel air cleaner, valve covers and exhaust manifolds. Correct fuel pump and glass bowl. The motor was completely machined. They did upgrade the ignition to electronic MSD but hid it. It even has correct slant top radiator used only in 409s. Has rare and correct vintage Sun tachometer transmitter. Has Delco battery topper and spring clamp cables. The firewall is all detailed, the hinges look new. The bottom of the hood is painted nice. Everything is detailed and has smooth finishes.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Clean metal with a nice, neat coat of aqua and white spatter paint. It's been clear coated so it's real durable. The jack and spare assembly are all restored. Has new trunk mats and weather strip. Bottom of the trunk lid and jamb are painted like glass. Even the correct cloth wrapped wire to the trunk light is new.
UNDERSIDE: Bottom of the car is restored and cleaned up real nice. The front end looks completely rebuilt. Bottom of the motor is spotless, starter looks new. Period correct 4-speed trans is spotless too. Brakes were redone. Exhaust is neatly bent along the frame. Floors are solid metal. Chassis is smooth satin black.
