Description of 1986 Chevrolet C-10 Silverado |
This 1986 Chevrolet Silverado is highly original and quite loaded. So, it strikes that ideal balance where beneath the classic looks is the V8 pickup that still knows how to get the job done. This one is highly original and has led a well-respected life. That's why the paint is believed to be the original factory application, and it still retains a nice gloss and shine today. In fact, you're looking at a true local boy... it even still has the Chevy dealer tag from just a few miles away from our showroom! Midnight Black paint always is a nice looks on these Silverados. After all, the dark paint gives a nice contest to all the premium-level bright trim. While this is a looker, it also still knows how to get to work. That's why you have the bed liner, bed rails, wide trailering mirrors, and the trailer hitch with wiring harness. Inside is more of the factory-style presentation, but they also gave you the right upgrades, too. This Silverado was loaded with options when it left the local dealer back in 1986, so it makes the perfect foundation for a great ride today. This includes power windows, power locks, an AM/FM stereo, comfy velour cloth seating, and cruise control. This generation C10 had a dash that wrapped around the driver like a sports car, and this one feels even more personal thanks to the addition of a movable armrest center console with cup holders. There's even R134a air conditioning to keep you cool for the short and long hauls. Chevy's 350 cubic-inch V8 is one of those great small blocks that fires up nicely, and it swiftly moves this pickup for a lively experience on the road. The engine is legendary for being quite adaptable and reliable, which is why GM used it for so long in many different applications. The motor inhales deeply with a four-barrel carburetor and gives a sweet V8 tune from the exhaust. A truck like this was meant for extended journeys, that's why you have dual fuel tanks and a four-speed automatic transmission with highway-friendly overdrive. Add in power steering and power brakes w/discs up front, and this is fine all-around driver. This is the local boy survivor that still knows how to make the scene. So if you love a good vintage truck, don't let this one slip away. Call now! |
