GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this iconic 1959 Chevrolet Corvette! This impressive vehicle comes in a brilliant red and white paint job complemented by a spotless white interior. Powering the Corvette is a recently built 383 cubic inch V8 motor mated to a rebuilt manual transmission. Upgrades to the 383 include a Sniper EFI fuel injection system, upgraded cam, roller rockers, aluminum heads, full stainless steal exhaust, Eagle crank, Eagle rods, upgraded radiator and more. Additionally, this vehicle is believed to have been a factory fuel injected example. Features of the Corvette include power steering, 4 wheel disc brakes, functioning heat, radio and more. An initial restoration was completed in the mid 80s with a more recent refresh believed to have been completed within the past 2 years. This vehicle comes to us out of a very extensive automobile collection. As such it has always been properly maintained and stored. So, if you're in the market for not only a gorgeous classic Corvette but one that is incredibly driver friendly, this is the vehicle for you. Please call or email us today for more information. The first generation of Corvette was introduced late in the 1953 model year. Originally designed as a show car for the 1953 Motorama display at the New York Auto Show, it generated enough interest to induce GM to make a production version to sell to the public. This generation was often referred to as the "solid-axle" models (the independent rear suspension was not introduced until the second generation). Three hundred hand-built polo white Corvette convertibles were produced for the 1953 model year. The 1959–60 model years had few changes except a decreased amount of body chrome and more powerful engine offerings.
