Description of 1971 Chevrolet C-10 |
1971 Chevy C-20 Step-Side (Short-Bed) Pickup! AWESOME Restoration Potential! Truck needs complete restoration. Some body work has been completed but rust is present - mostly surface. Some rust through but No "major" rust through areas. See photos for more detail. Truck does not drive. Engine: 350 V8 will run but not I'm not 100% on condition due to transmission issues. Brakes: Truck has NO brakes and will need complete brake job. Transmission:Previous owner started conversion from standard (manual) transmission to automatic. Transmission needs attention (rebuilt or replaced). Tires and Wheels: "OK" condition and will roll without issue and hold air. Interior: Will need to be restored. Most of cab floor is solid with a few patches and a hand full of spots that will need attention (see photo of drivers side floor). Exterior: Bed has surface rust and will be up to the new owner if they would want to replace or try to restore. Cab corners are good (see pics). Roof and rain rails appear solid with only surface rust. Some surface rust on various portions. Title: Title is clear. Truck will need to be towed or hauled. Buyer is responsible for pickup and delivery. We have a open car hauler and will be willing to transport within 300 miles at $1.25 per mile ($375 max cost to you). Please contact me to discuss in more detail. I've done my best to describe and disclose as much information as possible. Much of the details I have shared were communicated to me by the previous owner. A non-refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of auction end. We try to be as honest as possible when listing a vehicle. If you have questions or concerns about the vehicle that we haven't addressed in the description or in pictures, please feel free to ask. I'm not a Chevy guy but I will do my best to answer any questions you may have. We want both buyer and seller to be happy with the transaction. A little about us and our collection of restored and in need of restoration vehicles: Several years ago I started buying classic cars with the intention of restoring and selling or keeping for our private collection. Our herd consists of primarily Fords and Jeeps with the occasional GM or other vehicle. Unfortunately, I was able to buy much faster than restore and we have good number of vehicles that we just won't get to (in my lifetime). We intend to downsize our property and collection, so some of collection must go. We welcome and encourage inspection prior to bidding. Truck is sold as is, where is. (Reasonable) Trades will be considered. Thanks for looking and happy bidding!Stew |
