Description of 1956 Chevrolet Other Pickups BIG WINDOW |
1956 Chevy 3100 Big Window hot rod truck This is a beautiful, powerful truck with the best of everything: AC, PS, PB, power windows, shaved firewall, relocated tank, Foose wheels - and 450HP. There is more than $80k in this truck. It was a garaged Arizona truck I bought a year ago and shipped out to Seattle where it’s been in a climate-controlled garage since. It has a super-strong 383 stroker Small Block Chevy crate motor with about 450 HP. It is fuel injected, roller rockered, and has a solid lifter cam that creates a loud, loping idle; it starts on the first crank and is super responsive. It has been fully modernized, with power steering, power brakes, a Camaro front clip and modern rear axle. Power windows class up the cab and Vintage Air AC and heat keeps it cool, which is important in this rare, big-window model. Its Turbo 350 automatic transmission shifts confidently and crisply and can handle the big power. You can tell this is a hot rod when you first hear it; the side-exit 2.5†stainless exhaust is tamed only by a pair of Magnaflows that sit after long-tube Doug’s headers with ceramic coat. The lopey idle and low stance let you know the truck means business even as you sit comfortably at lights. Big 20†Foose Nitro forged wheels in the back complement 18†Foose rims in the front, wrapped in Nitto rubber. It has seat belts but I do not guarantee safety; this is a big window truck that has small b-pillars and wasn't designed for shoulder belts - or seat belts of any kind for that matter. It has three belts: two shoulder, one center, all auto retracting. Paint is very clean and there are no major scratches or chips on the body. There are a couple scratches in the bed and a couple on the inside passenger door. No horn though. Vintage air conditioning, runs cold and was recently charged Electric windows! Custom bench seat with adjustable height. New driver and passenger shoulder belts, center retracting lap belt. Bear-jaw style door latches for increased stiffness, safety Door locks are keyed to the ignition Dynamat applied to the floor, ceiling Dimmable rear view mirror Electrical Antique Auto Radio 100% reproduction wonderbar radio with AM/FM/Bluetooth. Uncut dash. 4.5†speakers in custom kick panels. JBL subwoofer under the seat Classic Instruments Tach-Force custom gauge cluster with temp, oil pressure, speedo, amps, fuel, brights, turn signal. Tach is not configured presently but has worked in the past. Dash lights are dimmable through the cowl vent control Vintage LED high/low beam headlights - period correct look and color temperature, much brighter. New main wiring harness, tail light harness and bulbs Optima yellow top battery ENGINE 383 stroker, about 450HP Shaved firewall, customized engine bay. Small block Chevy crate motor, lots of billet and chrome. Aluminum heads (don’t know the manufacturer) Solid lifter cam 1.6:1 Scorpion roller rockers Fabricated valve covers Fuel injected through Holley Sniper EFI. This is a self-tuning EFI that works great with this big cam. Holley electric fuel pump, brand new Earls Vapor-Guard lines. Includes fuel return.
